Stayed here last week as I was attending a Super Junior ( K-pop) concert in Lima. My travel agent helped me find this location as it was equidistant from the airport and the concert venue. Really nice experience - huge, clean, modern room and bathroom. The bed seemed big enough for all of SuJu!^^. Nice selection on breakfast buffet (included with room) in a spacious dining area. Real dishes and utensils - no styrofoam cups and plastic utensils. The front desk staff are helpful and there's always somebody on duty who speaks English.
They do have a dinner restaurant but it's quite expensive. Eat off-property but do come back for drinks in the relaxing, breezy courtyard. There is a full bar with attentive service and plenty of tables and conversation areas for 2 or 10! If you enjoy beer, do try the local brew (confusingly named after a Viking lol). Rooftop pool has plenty of lounge chairs altho the entire pool depth only comes up to the top of my thigh and I'm only 5.5. I guess it's more just to cool off. (Lima humidity says "hold my beer" to Florida and Korean humidity!)
Nearby services include a laundry (cheaper than in-house), a currency exchange, and a grocery store. Download (unrelated to the hotel) the "Cabify" app which works exactly like Uber for getting around.
Hotel seems very secure - there is only one entrance. Also you need a key-card to activate the elevator. This property has a "safe to stay" rating from AAA.
Not planning to go back to Lima anytime soon, but if I did I would stay there again without hesitation. Price was equivalent to what I paid for a craphole here in the US (see my prior review on a U.S....
Read moreDazzler is fairly dazzling for its price point. I chose them mainly because I needed a room to accomodate 3 adults, giving them space. The room came with 3 seperate beds. In addition, there were plenty of outlets for those that need them for 3 people (modern technology). Interestingly, the room even had a couple of US outlet as well as the kind used in Peru (I always carry a surge protector that has all electric converion adapters anyway). There was an a USB port on one of the lights as well. The bathroom was very spacious and with amenities for 3. The only issue that same may encounter is they have a tub with a shower head and not just a shower. That may not be a problem for many but it is not really handicap accessible and in addition the tub requires a large step up to get in and out even for an able body person - easy way to accientally trip. There is an abundance of closet space and storage for bags. The TV in the room is kind of small given the size of the room and it has wires hanging from the wall that could have been better put away (hazard for kids and unprofessional too). The room is well lit and has all the amenities you should need - safe, mini fridge, laundry service, sitting desk with chair, and a chair by the window. There is also a buffet brekafast which is very good (nultiple types of bread, bacon, eggs, various fruits & juices, yogurt, cereals, mini desserts, some bread that was like crepes cut into quarters that were very addictive, etc....
Read moreRecently, the hotel was doing a commercial for their restaurant at the hotel bar which I largely had no issue with. However, the photographer and assistant were very rude as they paid zero attention to the fact a key soccer game was being played and started to walk around with their lights and equipment in my space, blinding me shining lights at the tv and ignoring my multiple requests to wait 2 or 3 minutes for the game to end in order to get their shot. I found it very rude and unprofessional as they laughed and continued to shine the lights in my face.||||I complained to the front desk about their behavior as the contracted commercial crew needs to respect the paying customers at the hotel. ||||I found the hotel's staff response to be very lacking. Opposed to addressing the commercial crew as asked, the staff directed their attention towards me like I was the issue and sent multiple people to talk to me. Overall, I found Alphino's demeanor and attempt to talk to me very insulting which did very little to remedy the issue.||||Hopefully, the low review will bring the attention back to the paying customers at the hotel and get them to have their contractors to respect the guest. ||||Finally, I found Paparika to be tasteless and over priced but it seems to get high reviews as there are not a lot of restaurants...
