I've been living in Mandaluyong for 7 years but it's my first time going to the city hall. I was impressed, the process was so smooth and fast. We went there to process for our marriage license. The guard whom we've asked about the wheres is very helpful, he directed us to Window 1 to get the cedula. The person in-charge is very accommodating and already said "congratulations". The lady for the cedula payment got my partner's address wrong and we only saw it when we got home. (But it's just 24 pesos, so it's not that big of a deal, I can get a new one if ever they will not accept it at the Civil Registry Office.) Then we went to the CRO to ask about the requirements. The lady who attended us asked if we are both Filipinos and then she gave us the list of the requirements. Then she asked us if we would like to get the application forms so we can fill it out already. Then she instructed us to message the PMO account for the Family Planning seminar which will be conducted online during Wed and Fri. It only took us more or less 20 minutes to accomplish everything. There were two older ladies at the information desk, and I approached the skinny one. When I asked for directions, she gave a quick answer that confused me, so I politely asked if it was upstairs. Instead of clarifying, she snapped back sarcastically and said, “wala akong sinabi na sa taas" in a very rude and unprofessional tone. This is unacceptable behavior from someone working in public service, where courtesy and patience should come first. Visitors come here for help, not to be talked down to.
