Id say its Ok for now, coz i haven't tried their bulalo which i think should be the basis for the experience. We ordered their Lomis. Regular and Seafood variant. Egg drop soup flavor and feel, lacks the gooey thickness that you only find in a Lomi soup. The Lomi noodles are not too thick. Some noodles have that yellow bitter flavor that i don't like, gives off a certain scent, but their noodles here a not those kind so its ok and good enough. The ratio of Lomi vs soup is like 2 is to 1. Theres more soup than the noodles. I prefer the 1 is to 1 ratio. As for other parts; for the regular Lomi, very few thin slices of pork, some fishball slices and slices of kikiam. A few veggies also. As for the seafood Lomi, theres one small plump piece of shrimp (check the picture) squid slices, crabstick, whole (but sliced in the middle)button mushrooms, and toasted garlic bits. 24 hours, plenty of tables, small parking space though. Well marinated chili oil, big calamansi. Recommendable for groups. Full 2 page menu below in my pics. The place has a weird vibe that doesn't make it so homey or cozy like the coziness you usually get with bambooey structures. Not so sure if its the feng shui of the place. Oh, i forgot to mention...
Read moreThe food is really yummy in this joint. It is a must try to taste their famous bulalo because they have a lot of serving per bowl. The sisig is really tasty and really really good. Best partnered with your favorite cocktail or beer. And lastly. The chicken shown, it's called garlic chicken and it is really good too. It has a unique garlic-y flavor that soothes into your taste buds. You can try it with or without the prescribed dips that they serve along with it, and still it is oh so yummy ❤ Just an FYI, they serve beer and cocktails too I would like to commend their current atmosphere since they really leveled up from their old beer-house -like/style way back when they were starting. Overall experience was great. Even the bill out service is fast too. Adsitional FYIs: they DO NOT accept credit cards, if you may wonder 🙂 and parking if very very limited. Like up to 1 or 2 cars available so might as well commute your way here if you...
Read moreI honestly enjoyed their food. Especially the Bulalo. They won't call it Bulalohan if their Bulalo is not good. Indeed it's very awesome. The best I had, so far.
I'm giving it 2 stars because of the service. I had to scoop out solidified grease out of the pitcher. The place is messy. It's also hard to get service. You'll see people always raising their hands, waiting for servers to notice them. It's almost shameful to ask for anything extra e.g. extra rice, water, napkins.
The place is messy. It felt like dining in food stalls in public market. The floor is icky black, the restroom has very foul odor, and everything looks dirty and outdated.
I think they've become complacent of their food, and that they have a huge clientele.
BTW, there are pics and autographs of celebrities, who dined there, plastered all over the walls. It just shows how popular they are.
TLDR, Good, affordable...
