It also gives you a sense of time-travel back to the Spanish Era as you look at the distant ruins, or even as you caress the rough coral walls with your bare hands and imagine how these remnants have served as a rampart to safeguard the Old Oslob commercial center against the invading moros and bandidos.
I like how the place has appeared so dainty and plain, well maintained, as if the ruins have been intentionally propped up for the purpose of being a tourist attraction. Whoever maintains this site - be it the DOT or the LGU - has done a very good job in maintaining a very good impression for tourists who visit the place.

Historically enjoying and visually satisfying. This is a proof that even before the widespread spanization in the City of Cebu, the nearby towns especially this place in Oslob has an equality rich culture and narrative that one can be proud of.
I am a culture savage kind of traveler and I really deeply entrenched myself into the historicity of a place and its people. Been passing by Oslob in the past years and I have never known that Cuartel could be this impactful.
