Quartel Beach — Attraction in Oslob

Not a sand beach but a park with a sea wall.a very nice park to go at sunset.ther is also Spanish ruins located here and a beautiful church.on fridays,Saturday, and Sundays ther is a movie played.me and my wife and baby went to watch the movie.ther was alot of families ther .so we thought it would be a family, kid friendly movie..not so it was dead pool 3.so very sad with all the swearing, killing and profanity. This beach is just near the town of Oslob, it's close to Oslob Municipal Hall and Church Immaculate Conception.

(P.S. Its name "Quartel" is actually the English pronouncing version of Spanish word "Cuartel", which means barrack.)

There are two ruin sites here which were both built in Spanish ruled period. One was a watching tower built in 1788, for preventing the Moro's attack. Another was a barrack which was not finished because Spanish retreated from Philippines after Spanish-American War in 1898.
