My rating is for the customer service, I will update my rating by the end of the year based on the overall quality and the status of the container house.
My Experience: I negotiated with them on behalf of my Father because of his busy schedule. At first when I visited and inquired about the container house they were accommodating and always make sure to follow up on the items I inquired about. But after we paid the downpayment and full payment this is where I started to encounter inconsistencies and disappointing customer service. Delivery of the container was on the agreed date July 29, 2024. My agent informed me after delivery that it would take 3 days for an installer to come and build the container house but the installers arrived on August 12, 2024. I’m expecting constant updates from my agent about the install date, but in the end it was me who was always contacting my agent for an update. I called my agent on August 12, 2024 for two times on 4PM & 6PM, and as I’m writing these review I haven’t received any call backs and the installers are currently building the container house. We’ll see if the container will have leaks when it rains as I have read on the other reviews here. My other concern is when I requested for an OR (Official Receipt) they said they only give AR (Acknowledgement Receipt) If it’s possible to get an OR please let me know. (1) INCOMPLETE AND LATE DELIVERY – Set aside the delay from the transportation problem, you delivered the additional materials on Nov 7 when we agreed that the lead time is Oct 13-18; (2) POOR AFTER SALES SERVICE – There’s nothing in the agreement about having the installation to be a follow-up few days after the delivery of the material. Now, your kitchen set is at standby for 5 days, and the whole thing has been unused for almost a month; (3) BREACH OF CONTRACT – The lead time delay, the installation delays, and the separation of delivery of the additions from the container house unit. All of these are not in the quotation/contract. We made it clear that our order was urgent but it seems that SMARTHOUSE doesn’t see it as we do. We paid in full on October 4, 2021 with the hopes that you would hold your part of the deal but your quotation does not seem to match your output. Read moreUpdate 08Apr2025: Nobody went back after my last review to fix the CR door lock. We just disabled it for now. The workmanship is very sloppy. When we installed kitchen counter cabinet, the flooring was uneven. When we installed shower enclosure, the zocalo (slight elevated barrier) was uneven and crooked.
Update 11Mar2025: After my initial review, the following day, the installers (most likely 3rd party), went back to check. Since we remedied the defects by ourselves, they just did some cleaning on the tiles. As they are about to leave, they locked the CR door. Today, the CR door is locked and can't be opened. Been trying to ask them to fix the locked door and its falling into deaf ears again. Such horrible service. (This update is hoping for management to send someone to fix the lock ASAP).
