I discovered this place as I was looking for an alternative to where I normally stay for a relaxing three day Me-time experience. ||The place is relatively easy to drive to from Manila and is also easy to find. The parking is within the grounds and the facility is kept secure at night as they close and lock the gate to the property. ||There are only four rooms. Two that can take at most a 2 people and are located at the ground floor while the other two rooms on the 2/F can take 2-4 people. ||The rooms at the bottom have a small a lanai while the upper rooms have a balcony and a lounging area. Each room has its own bathroom have both air conditioning and a fan. It gets really cold from 5pm so I turned off the aircon and just slept with the fan for both nights. :-)||The highlight of the place is the "kawa" experience where there are several big cooking pots and it is similar to a hot bath literally cooking your stress away. It takes around 30 minutes to prepare and they do it the traditional way of heating several coconut husks under the vat and making the water hot. From there, they add several aromatic and therapeutic leaves and flowers. You then soak in it for around 45 minutes while enjoying the scenic Tagaytay mountainside. ||I did this and then had a massage right after. The massage was divine!!! Something that I would return for!!!! ||Meals are served in the quaint and rustic restaurant that is situated above the "kawa" area and is artistically decorated with plants and flowers. I found the menu quite extensive for a small place. I wanted to order everything but some portions are really for sharing. The food is delicious and to be honest will really fill you up. ||Breakfast may be the traditional with rice or bread but they are very flexible with requests. Dinner can actually be brought to the "kawa" area and I brought mine there both nights with a bottle of wine and just chilled out. ||The staff are very efficient and move quietly around the place. ||They encourage everyone to be respectful of the silence and quietness of the place though there are some day trippers that because they felt they were the only ones there, their voices get quite loud. I figure, they were not used to the silence. ||Personally, I wanted to stay longer but of course, all good things must come to an end and to be honest, I feel with one wanting to stay longer, it makes me look forward to another visit to...

Read moreOur host brought us here to enjoy the kawa bath and massage. Few of us that had the kawa bath really enjoyed our time there in bath with mountain view. That was nicest 45min of our time there. Toilet a bit filthy and run down. Probably needs to upgrade and maintain the cleanliness. Then comes the nightmare. After the bath, you’ll be quickly ushered into the massage area where the staff will ask you to lie down quickly without proper instruction. Upon lying down, the staff will ask you what type of massage you want. We paid for the package so it was the oil massage. The staff was not happy about it. She tried to push for top up to dry massage where she actually demonstrated on our body how it feels like. I told her I’m okay with just the oil massage but she wasn’t happy as she told me all my friends chose dry massage (not true). She proceeds out to get the bottle of oil, pour whole load on my body and threw the bottle in between my legs. While rubbing the oil on my shoulder, she asked me if I wanted to top up to hot stone massage. I told her I’m fine with just the oil massage. Then she proceeds to rub the oil all over my body. She did not put effort into the massage. It’s more like rubbing oil onto body. Then when it comes to massaging the head area she just continuously rubbing my left scalp to the extent it bruises my scalp leaving a bump and hair knots. Seriously, the worst ever experience I have in massage. After the massage ended, she just left me there without letting me know it was done. She didn’t even offer me tea, but when the whole load of us started dressing up, she appeared again expecting tips. Most of us who did not enjoy the massage didn’t want to tip but the host, not knowing our bad experience had already tipped all the therapist. Ahhhhh what an experience. Never again.
Pro: Nice stunning view during kawa bath Cons: Filthy toilet, hardsell massage, bad massage, masseuse...
