Haven Campsite Liwliwa is a campsite right next to Liwliwa Beach along the Zambales coast facing the West Philippines Sea.
It offers varying degrees of camping experiences from traditional beach camping, where you pitch your tents, to glamping, where you stay in airconditioned, teepee-shaped rooms. In between that are kubo-like, non-airconditioned huts or air-conditioned family rooms travelers may rent.
The property connects directly to the Liwliwa Beach, a surfing spot that hosts competitions for pros and ethusiasts while providing a safe terrain for beginners owing to the gentle slope of the beach.
Take note however that the best time to visit is from February to April and September to December, as harsh weather may prevent surfers and swimmers from enjoying the beach.
Haven Campsite has a nice staff and a hands-on owner who will attend to your needs. However, the common washrooms for men are not as ideal as that of the womenâsâwhich may inconvenience campers.
Most rooms offer free Filipino breakfast. This is usually garlic fried rice, fried egg, and choice of meat (e.g. longanisa, tapa, hotdog) served with instant coffee. This can be availed ar the Bibimbowl resto also situated within the property.
Expect live music on Saturday nightsâwhich can add to the nice viber or bother your sleep.
Overall, the campsite is a nice place to chill and stay for a while away from the hustle...
Read moreThe place is Instagrammable. However, I find the staff not so accommodating. They look like they don't want to be disturbed right from the day we checked in. We arrived at 11:00 am, left our bags in their Tiki bar and went outside to look for food while waiting for the 2:00pm check in time. When we checked in to the teepee room, it was so dirty. I mean with that amount of time, they could have at least swept the floor. No toilet paper provided, bring your own. Lots of mosquitoes, bring repellent. Breakfast is good though small in portion. We also tried the unli samgyup for 299, pork only and the bibimbowl at the korean resto within the vicinity. Free drinking water but bring your own tumbler. Shower water smells rusty because I guess it is close to the sea. If you're planning to have the bonfire, it's âą350 but does not include anything and also you need to inform them ahead of time. They were late in setting up the bonfire, we requested for 7pm but it was set up at 8pm though the starry sky made up for it. Overall, I will come back to Liwliwa, but maybe off to a better...
