before visiting this place ive tried to read as much info as possible yet found almost nothing useful The beach is huge and great however you must be prepared. Beach beds and parasols are not enough for the amount of people visiting this place at all. Nearby you have the restaurant borda d’agua or other bars (10min walk at least between each) where you can rent 2 beds + 1 parasol for about 20 € / day however you should reserve it early because upon arrival they say its fully booked and they cant help you. (after waiting for hours still many beach beds left empty, they did not mention other options)
You must have your own towel and parasol or you have to buy one there 17€ the small one,22€ the big size. just as an example there are about 40 beach beds and around 300 people going here
compared to other countries’ beaches this place is honestly not prepared and welcoming for the people (esp. tourists) going there. they could have a huge business by offering more place to sit and relax yet what you’ll find is large amount of people trying to lay back under their small parasols in...
Read moreOne of the best beaches in Costa da Caparica: wonderful sands and waves (small but good for relaxing). Place can get very crowed during the summer: lots of kids in the morning and lots of people during the day. Has a free parking zone, with a very nice gentlemen guarding the cars and welcoming the users to the beach. There is a beach bar (Bar Borda D'agua) with a private benches and umbrellas and this beach is a stop for the tram as well; also the snacks salesmen selling everything from snacks to sunglasses have they activity in there as well (prices are skyrocket).
The only downside I can find is the entrance / exit: is a major convergence for at least 4 very crowed beaches and because of that the lines can take lots of minutes, if not hours (specially late in the evening). Also since the roads to the beach are just sand, the vehicles are left with lots of dust or scratches from other...
Read moreI visited Praia da Morena in July 2019 and was delighted by the serene beauty and cleanliness of this beach. The expansive stretches of sand and inviting waters made it an ideal spot for a peaceful swim. I appreciated the pristine condition of the beach, which was well-maintained and not littered, enhancing the natural beauty of the area.
It's worth noting that the beach lacks amenities such as showers, restrooms, or snack bars, so it's a good idea to come prepared with whatever you might need for the day. Despite this, the absence of facilities contributed to the beach not being crowded, offering a more relaxed and personal experience.
Whether you're looking to swim, sunbathe, or simply unwind by the soothing sounds of the waves, Praia da Morena is a fantastic choice. Just remember to bring water and any snacks you might enjoy as you soak up the tranquility of this...
