We booked the €117 package for two people, which included lunch and a guided visit with wine tasting.
To begin with, I sent an email asking for a few clarifications. I must say, the response I received was very promising. The lady who replied, Margarida Almeida, was extremely kind and helpful, leaving a great first impression.
Upon arrival, we were directed to the restaurant where our table was already reserved. The meal was simply delicious—truly a highlight.
After lunch, we joined the guided tour of the estate. We waited just a short while, and the guide arrived right on time. Her name was Matilde, and we were lucky to be the only ones on that tour. Since it was our 10th wedding anniversary on July 25th, having what felt like a private tour made the experience even more special. Matilde herself was the cherry on top. Her friendliness, deep knowledge of the place, attentiveness, and calm, thoughtful way of explaining everything turned the visit into something unexpectedly delightful.
The tour ended with a wine tasting of four wines: one white, two reds, and one Moscatel. But since we were celebrating our 10-year anniversary, Matilde surprised us with a 10-year-old Moscatel—and what a difference compared to the younger one! And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, she brought us a 20-year-old Moscatel, which was absolutely mind-blowing.
All in all, I would say that people like Margarida and Matilde truly make a difference. Thanks to them, our experience went beyond expectations and became something truly...

At the end of the visit is the wine tasting, experiencing what is best produced there. The tasting includes two different types of wine, red and rose muscatel. It's different but...
Read moreThis is a lovely old winemaker with a really long and interesting history. I'm particularly a fan of the sweet wines that they are known for so seeing how they got started was really interesting!
The tour is short and sweet at around half an hour to 45 minutes and is just right before the tasting. You get a pleasant still around the lovely grounds and a nice tour of their barrels, cellars and collections of old equipment and medals from hundreds of years ago.
The tasting is very pleasant and I recommend you take your time as it gives you some insight into the wines you might like to buy before you leave.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful and we had a...
