Aux Fins Gourmets — Restaurant in Setúbal

If you’re in Azeitão, Aux Fins Gourmets is an absolute gem! 🌟 I live in Lisbon and honestly wish they would open here — but luckily, whenever I visit my parents in Azeitão, I never miss the chance to stop by.

They really do French pâtisserie just like in France: tartelettes, éclairs, chouquettes, almond tart, tropezienne, chocolate cake, quiches, and even sandwiches made with their delicious French baguette. On top of that, they’re also a bakery with fresh bread, brioches, croissants… everything is simply excellent. You can also enjoy fresh drinks, coffee, or tea with your treat. ☕🥐

My family live in the town and have eaten here many times. The cakes we've had have all been excellent and the presentation is attractive, far better than what you'll find in almost all standard Portuguese places. What has been disappointing is the indifferent service we've had from all staff on every occasion. They would really rather not have to deal with you at all, and no attempt on the customer's part at showing the usual warmth that is typical in Portugal will thaw their standoffish demeanour. My wife and I speak Portuguese, English and French, so it's not a language issue. Portuguese friends of ours came to the same conclusion. Domage! Good manners...

A small but cute hidden gem.

The members of staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. Since we were passing by by car, we ordered a few treats to take away and they carefully packaged it in a box. They were all delicious and value for money. Our favourite was the almond croissant and pain au chocolat. Nothing overly complicated to make yet prepared...
