The spa is situated on the northern outskirts of Bucharest, just a 10-minute drive from Otopeni International Airport. Open 365 days a year, it maintains a water temperature of 33°C and is enclosed by a massive glass dome, ensuring a warm environment year-round. This facility attracts more than 8,000 visitors daily and represents the latest realization of the Therme concept, which is being expanded globally. The spa features eight swimming pools and 16 water slides, along with Romania's largest botanical garden, housing 800,000 plants and 500 palm trees. The operational hours are from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM on weekdays, from 9:00 AM to midnight on Saturdays, and from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM on Sundays. The pricing plan allows visitors to enjoy three distinct areas: Galaxy: A pool and water slide area. The Palm: An adults-only spa. Elysium: An area with numerous saunas. Each area can be accessed at different times, ranging from 3 to 4.5 hours to an all-day pass. The Palm includes access to Galaxy, and Elysium includes access to both The Palm and Galaxy. However, The Palm has only one sauna, and during popular programs, guests with priority tickets for Elysium can sometimes overwhelm the space, leading to some guests from The Palm being unable to join the queue. To fully enjoy the saunas, purchasing an Elysium pass is recommended. Prices vary between weekdays (Monday to Thursday) and weekends (Friday to Sunday), with different rates for different areas and times. After enjoying the spa until 11:00 PM, I thought I would be the only one returning on bus 422, but there were nearly ten other people at the bus stop. For those using public transport, bus 422 conveniently stops right in front of Therme Bucharest. However, Google Maps route search may direct you to get off at the 'Petresti' bus stop, requiring a 15-minute walk. To avoid this, ensure you get off at the next stop, 'Therme Bucuresti', for direct access.

I recently visited this spectacular water park in Bucharest, and it was an unforgettable experience! The water park boasts a vibrant and energetic atmosphere. The lush greenery and beautifully maintained indoor facilities create a tropical paradise, making you forget you’re indoors. The design and layout make it feel like an oasis, offering a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The pools are crystal clear and perfectly maintained. Whether you’re looking to relax or have some fun, the water temperature is just right, offering a refreshing escape from the summer heat. The spacious pools accommodate both leisurely swimmers and those looking to enjoy a bit more activity. One of the highlights of my visit was the poolside bar, which serves a fantastic array of drinks. From classic cocktails to refreshing non-alcoholic beverages, every drink is crafted to perfection. Sipping a cold cocktail while lounging in the pool was an absolute delight, adding a touch of luxury to the experience. The facilities are top-notch when it comes to cleanliness and comfort. The water park is well-maintained, ensuring a safe and pleasant experience for all visitors. It's evident that a lot of care and attention go into keeping the park pristine and welcoming. Apart from the pools, the park offers various amenities and activities to keep you entertained throughout your stay. Whether you're with family or friends, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The combination of excellent service, beautiful surroundings, and fun activities makes this water park a must-visit destination. Overall, this water park in Bucharest offers a perfect blend of relaxation and fun. It’s a must-visit destination for anyone looking to have an enjoyable time. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city!

I went on a weekday alone. I purchased a 3 hour pass online and still had to stand in line for over 30 minutes to present my ticket. I don't know how to begin reviewing this place. It's unlike any "spa" I have ever visited. Perhaps it's more like an amusement park than a spa. With loud electric dance music, workers yelling and conducting pool aerobics classes over loudspeakers and many swim up bars, it really fits the description of a booze cruise on land. The system of using your wristband to pay for everything and enter and exit certain sections is confusing to say the least. I suggest getting a map first to figure out where you can and can't go and how to find the restaurants and toilets and activities. But the map is still not complete so I ended up having to ask the very bored, annoyed and grumpy staff standing around for directions to things. The "thermal" waters are not thermal but just regular chlorinated water, not hot just barely room temperature. I ate at the cafeteria in the main section. There's a second restaurant upstairs but it's only Thai food. The food is pretty basic but you have to order using a confusing machine and your wrist band which ends up taking way longer than necessary so you're just standing in line for over 30 minutes and have to wait even longer for your food. For what you get it's pricey but that's to be expected I guess. I still ended up with a completely different main dish than what I ordered but was so hungry at that point I just gave up and ate it. Things I liked - the Aufguss experience (I suggest you speak to someone to make sure you know when these are happening because the schedule that's posted isn't correct), the massage beds (electric waterbeds that you have to pay to use although they didn't all work properly and some people where having trouble), the infrared light therapy beds and the rainforest sauna (the only steam room in the whole spa). The lady who was the Aufguss dancer (sauna meister) was the only nice employee with excellent English, able to point you in the right direction and also passed out scrubs and face masks while in the steam room. Upon leaving, it's not clear how you know when your time is up because there's no clocks on the wall and I heard and witnessed lots of fights upon checkout by people who went over by 20-30 minutes and had to pay extra. Luckily I had my phone with me so I kept checking it. When I went to pay at the end they just showed me a total and asked me to pay. I wanted to see a breakdown because I didn't know what I was paying for and the cashier was annoyed. She read off to me what I spent and then somehow screwed up the transaction so had to get help to ring me up. The supervisor who showed up asked me to pay by cash or use an ATM to get cash. I said no I wanted to pay with credit card. She was not happy but I insisted and she was able to figure it out finally. Overall not a very relaxing experience but I can see how it might be fun with a group of people if you want to get expensive drunk and hang out to loud music. Don't go alone.

Update: When we exited, they searched our bags, took the towels away and accused us of stealing them, after they told us to keep them. So now we have only one towel left for our whole trip and all they told us is, 'we should be happy that they won't charge us for that'. We spent over 150€ there on one day btw. So yeah, we are not coming back, that's for sure. First of all: Therme Bukarest is by far the best and prettiest of it's kind. I've visited different ones in Hungary, Germany and all around Austria. Also the staff is for the most part very kind and enforces important rules often. BUT: The problem are definitely the guests. The guests ruin your experience in a way that you wouldn't imagine before coming here. 1. My white towel got stolen twice in 2 hours (don't bring white towels!!!), and both times I had to get a replacement from the cashier, because I've brought only one. The second time I hid it under my boyfriend's towel but someone still took it away. The staff at the front desk almost didn't believe me but who can blame them. My boyfriend's slippers also disappeared. Bring your own, don't buy them here because they will almost certainly get stolen. 2. People don't know how to behave in a sauna. So many people sit without towels on the banks, talk loudly, leave the door open and leave towels to "reserve" their place. It's very annoying and hard to relax like that. The staff does their absolute best to prevent that tho, big props for that. A sign on the door with 2 images that show to be quiet and close the door would probably help tremendously. 3. Lastly, the people bringing little kids in The Palm and The Elysium. It's very clear that kids under 14 are not allowed there, idk why parents keep ignoring the rules. This rule seems as it's not enforced, staff walks by and doesn't notice/say anything. All in all it's a beautiful place, but try to avoid busy days, unless you want your stuff to disappear. The staff is very nice and speaks Romanian, as well as English and other languages. The temperature (of the water & the air inside) is warm to hot (never too hot tho). The drinks and food are delicious and the prices are definitely OK. But yeah, unfortunately some guests are raised without manners. You can try to put them in their place or call the staff but unfortunately there are way too many of them to ever keep up.

My experience at this Therme spa felt like an 'expectation vs reality' situation. I visited on a Thursday night and unfortunately did not enjoy the experience. The place was overly crowded, which made it feel nerve-wracking and anxiety-inducing, preventing us from truly enjoying our time there. Additionally, it was quite expensive for the limited enjoyment we got, as we couldn't stay for more than 2 hours. So, my advice would be not to buy tickets for more than 3 hours. The entrance fee cost us 40€ per person, and that didn't include renting slippers or bathrobes. To start with, it was challenging to understand their pricing and areas when purchasing tickets because it wasn't clearly explained anywhere. We ended up getting access to two areas: the main area and the water slides for 4.5 hours. However, when we paid, the staff gave us only 2 changing lockers instead of 3, citing the high number of people. Upon entering, we were taken aback by the overwhelming crowd and noise level, making us want to leave immediately. We decided to head to the outdoor hot pool, but it wasn't pleasant with so many people around, especially couples being very close and affectionate in front of us. The wait to get a drink was 30 minutes, all the sunbeds were occupied, and there were too many people in the pool, jacuzzi, and all the attractions. We couldn't enjoy any of the slides due to the long lines. On a positive note, the sauna area was enjoyable. They had 10 saunas, each quite creative and pleasant to use, but once again, the experience was hampered by the overcrowding. Here are my tips: - Bring your slippers, bathrobe, towel, and a water bottle to save money. - Opt for the spa area option. - Visit in the early morning on a weekday to avoid the crowds. Overall : Expectations will not match the reality. I don’t advise visiting.

Therme Bucuresti is a one of a kind place and should definitely be on everyone's travel bucket list. It's a huge oasis, indoor and out, that's spa like but with leisure centre vibes due to the busyness. Outdoor lakes with canopies to rent add some serenity (beware of inhaling cigarette smoke constantly though) but the pool areas are all crowded and noisy. That said, it is spectacular to experience and a whole 'One Day Holiday Pass' is a must. You can't experience it all in 3hrs. We spent time in the pools, indoor and out, the mineral bath and the sauna. There are massage fountains and jacuzzis too and people quite politely swap in and out. There is a food hall with a variety of cuisines - it's very reasonably priced and good quality food, prepared in front of you. There are also pool bars and outdoor food bars. There is a long queue to get in but staff are quick and efficient at checking you in. You get a locker and a wristband to charge everything to while you're there, then you pay on exit. Phones are not allowed in the pool areas, so take all the photos and videos you want to on arrival, then put it in your locker and enjoy the experience, phone free! As with most places, there is always a queue for the ladies' toilets but this goes quite quickly. Staff keep the floors clean and slip free using floor machines frequently. It is a place that can be enjoyed by all travelling groups - families, couples, singletons, friends, lads, ladies - it's for absolutely everyone :) There are a variety of water slides for all ages and all fear levels!! I don't usually go on them but I did here!! We highly recommend it to everyone and will definitely go again.
