We were a group of about 30 who had an appointment to see this synagogue. It is an interesting building, build in 1671 and one of only two synagogues left in Iasi where before the World War Two there were 127 synagogues. It was re-opened in 2018 after a major restoration. A special feature of this building is its hight. Regulations in the past required that no synagogue should be taller than nearby churches, but the synagogue needed hight under the ceiling.
