Exhibition is quite small and limited. Model-Model-RD1 engine from RD2 rocket (which was used when? for what?)-Model-a piece of Buran-Model-Space Toilet. It probably shines with a good guide and a grown-up audience - all the intricacies of engines development and improvement could be properly explained but without additional info... it requires all your previous space-related knowledge to be entertaining. Overall this museum does have a great potential but for now it's more of a supplementary (and unrelated) entertainment inside the main one - Peter &...
Read moreIt is a small museum located within the Peter and Paul Fortress in Saint Petersburg. Is it worth to visit it - in my opinion "YES". It shows some artifacts of Soviet and Russian space exploration as well as bits and pieces of the way space exploration was thought to happen before it actually happened Entrance is 150 Rubles (November 2018) - so approx. US$2. Go there if you have time - it's worth the visit and good for at least 60 minutes of interesting and educating entertainment. It is a bit of a pity that not all oblecrs a labeled bilingual - but mostly one gets anyway the...
Read moreThe begging is boring as it shows biographies of some dudes who did an impact to space exploration etc. This part was only in Russian so skipped it really quickly. The second part is for engineers who are interested in a engines and their parts. Ant the last and most interesting part of exposition shows real rockets and spacecrafts. So the end of exposition pays off for boring beginning. P.S. I really recommend to sit and spend a few minutes watching videos of Gagarin's glory years (with a Soviet point of...
