First time experiences are always memorable. Went to see Capt Marvel on the 'standard' screen. The cinema is very much top of the line VOX standard. I think the clients still have something to learn about cinema etiquette remembering many may be new to the cinema experience. There was a lot of cell phone usage during the film with bright screens flicking on and off in the capacity audience throughout the film. Once guy even appeared to be taking flash photos or selfies during the film. Very distracting! Also a lot of very audible conversations going during the film, competing with the films dialogue at times. I hope in time Riyadians will clue in to phone off/ on silent, no flash photography during the film and try to whisper if chatting with your viewing partner! Other than that the evening was superb, the cinema is well run with huge sumptuous seating and acres of legroom even for a 6'5" guy like me. Top tier picture and sound and great service! Its been a long time coming getting movie theaters into KSA but this really sets the standard!! Totally going again. Also this VOX is in a new mall with some really great food options. If you are looking for a easy but quality night out with friends or significant other this takes 'dinner & a movie' to a whole new level. A word to the wise, give yourself time to find parking if you have reservations, it gets busy. There are spaces, it just takes time to get into the mall and get to your table or cinema seat! I am a usually vox customer, but this specific event ruined the Vox experience.. I had bought tickets for John wick through there website which said you had to be 15 or older to enter the movie, it said just that it did not ask for us to bring verification of our ages. It was to my shock when I arrived at the gate where they scan my tickets after I bought my snacks that the employee ask to see my id.. even if I had told him that we were over the age of 15. They kept us waiting for more than 30 minutes un attended. They did not ask for verification to be brought with us to the cinema so why would I carry it around with me, they are not allowed to keep us waiting because of something they didn’t ask of us to bring. It was very unprofessional even on top of the fact that we already had spent over 300 riyals on the tickets plus more for the snacks. After waiting for a long time we went by ourselves to a woman working at the other gate of the cinema and she was willing to let us in because we were clearly over the age of 15, she then proceeded to tell the other employees who were troubling us to let us into the cinema so they eventually did.. was a very bad experience and a waste of my time and money.. will not be visiting vox again since I’ve never had this problem in amc cinemas.. very disappointed..

I am aware the age ratings are for our own good but you do not have the right to deprive us from entering a movie that we payed hundreds for just because you did not inform us to bring evidence of our ages...
