Among all the water sport activity in Andaman Island, SEA WALK at the depth of three meter is the BEST water activity to mingle with coral reefs, various fishes and other sea creatures. It is far better than Scuba Diving. This water sports activity in Andaman Island is introduced by a Private company called SEA LINK. North Bay is one of the only two place in Andaman Island, where one can enjoy the activity of "SEA WALK". The other one is at Elephanta Beach of Havelock Islands. However, the present manager/supervisor of the standing Boat on sea, called Panton for 'SEAWALK' managed by 'Sea Link' company at North Bay is the biggest sore point of the whole experience. With his over the top and rude behaviour to the customer/guest, he is able to suck out half of the fun of SEA WALK. His snobish way of speaking to first timer of the activity, especially to the young ones, creats a fear physic and most of them come out of water within first five minutes. No prior familiarization to the tourists/guest is carried out by him except a "Air Hostess" like series of instructions uttered by him in quickest possible time. Neither he is ready to allow first timer to try once more if they person comes out of water within first 5 minutes due to feeling of awkwardness due to fear. The minimum permitted age for SEAWALK activity is seven years as per company website; however this manager of North Bay Panton has audacity to say that '"I don't care and I will not allow anyone below 10 years to join the activity of SEAWALK from my ship". Even his team clicks only few initial underwater photos of the customer, not the full underwater walk of the customer. SEA LINK company must do something quickly to salvage its reputation. Otherwise gradually the spread of word will push people towards avoiding this wonderful sea sports activity due to stubborn attitude of a individual employee. One must not forget that the fee for Underwater Walk is INR 3500/- for each, coupled with INR 750/- for reaching to North Bay by boat from Sports Complex Jetty of Port Blair. This whole cost is approximately same as of South Asian Countries. Apart from one individual's stupidity, the visitors to Andaman must join this water sports activity of SEAWALK once to have a close encounter with various harmless and wonderful sea dwelling creatures of coral beds. Maybe introduction of few more companies in this Water Sport activity will make whole experience more tourist...
