War Games — Attraction in Singapore

Don’t meant to be rude here but my experience has been poor. Had read some review before heading here and would like to have a look at the single cards he is selling. As mention by other TS, binder are only to be viewed under his supervision. There are tons of binder on the floor, on the side table and cover most TCG. He pass me a binder which is the least interesting binder compared to the other that he “passed” for me.

Eventually I look through and search the reference price online (PC & TCGP, IYKWIM) so that I can shop within my budget. He was monitoring my all move as he is afraid of card theft and I am okay with it. But he is busy with other things and many other customer or regulars to attend to. After I confirm what I want and told him which card I wanted. He mention he don’t use the online reference as he notice I use online reference for pricing. I ask what he use and he say he use his reference and his price might be higher. I say is alright and those card I choose will not be over my budget.

But to my surprise he doesn’t really want to serve me as he has other customers. I just want him to give me a price and I just buy and go. He replied saying is very troublesome to count one by one. I get it as I get around 10 cards and profit margin is low for a fast moving business. He just sold two ps5 controller while talking to me so maybe that’s why.

I decided to cancel off the deal and he is not very happy. Saying the previously customer also same like me, take out and not buying after given a price. But my case is the card is still in the binder not touch and not given a price.

Had bought from WG in the past and it was a nice experience before. However today I turned up to store and the owner had 2 people in a queue at the front (think he was buying stuff off customers). I was inside store and wanted to look at Pokemon binders which are on the side in a different part of store (on the side of the owner) and owner said NO, he’s busy, cannot look. Owner was very rude, no eye contact, didn’t ask me to wait to hold on or give a time to come back or anything. Awful customer service, rude guy, travelled a while to get here and just really bad tbh. I understand need to be vigilant over thefts of cards from binders etc but don’t even have them if you don’t have the manpower to let customers see (I could have just browsed them to the side of owner as there was space tbh or even come back in 10/15mins etc). Overall tho his attitude was just really disappointing. Supported the store when pokemon wasn’t so popular, disappointed that he treats customers this way and in the end I left without looking or buying anything. Won’t be supporting the...

I really just cannot stop coming here. After school I always beg my friends to stop by Ang Mo Kio station with me to buy more Pokémon cards! Great store, prices are really cheap compared to the official Pokémon Centre. The ETBS for $100 there cost $70 at this store? Impressive. Everything you need to begin your collection. Special offers on individual packs too. I really highly recommend this shop to avid Pokémon fans and newbies trying to collect their first cards. Overall, great shops for not just Pokémon cards but also gaming and other types of cards. Time to scrape up more money XD. I also want to edit this review again to support the shopkeeper.
