Vodovodni stolp se nahaja v starem mestnem jedru Brežic, na vogalu Ulice stare pravde in Bizeljske ceste. Viden je daleč naokoli in je najbolj prepoznavna točka mesta. Zgrajen je bil leta 1914 in je visok 46 metrov.Okrašen je s tremi manjšimi balkoni. Naslonjen je na ostanke mestnega obrambnega obzidja. Naredili so ga za potrebe mestnega vodovoda. Vodovodni stolp je zdaj postal simbol mesta in tudi zanimiv spomenik tehnične kulture. Vodovodni stolp je skoraj sedem desetletij meščanom zagotavljal pitno vodo, napajal pa se je iz zajetja v Brezini, oddaljenega kar tri kilometre. Zato bodo morali zanj v prihodnje poiskati nove vsebine in ga tako še bolj približati domačinom...

Hele mooie toren. Onze gids sprak duidelijk engels, was erg vriendelijk en wist veel te vertellen over de toren en de geschiedenis. Een deel van de tour is interactief, wat erg leuk is voor de jongere kinderen en helpt om het principe van de watertoren te begrijpen. Na de rondleiding hebben we nog wat gedronken bij het cafeetje onderaan de toren waar ze goede koffie serveren en heerlijk gebak. Wij kochten een kaartje voor het museum in het kasteel en de watertoren gecombineerd. Wat voordeliger is en ze liggen vlakbij elkaar. Het is heel makkelijk om van het ene gebouw naar het andere...
