Pr’ Šefu — Restaurant in Brežice

During my tour of Brežice, I had the pleasure of visiting the Pr' Šefu restaurant, and I must say I am incredibly happy with my decision to dine there. This is one of those places that instantly captivates you with its charm, both inside and out. The interior design was tasteful and warm, while the outdoor ambiance was perfect for enjoying the food in a calm and serene atmosphere. I ordered the ribs with fries, which were both huge and incredibly tasty. My companion opted for the chicken salad, and she was so delighted that she overate to the point of having a stomach ache.

A particular highlight was the humorous touch with the restroom signs reading "at the chef's" and "at the chef's wife" - or however it was precisely written. Such details genuinely add a unique charm to the place. The waitresses were exceptionally friendly, and we felt welcomed from the moment we stepped in.

In any case, my experience at Pr' Šefu was overwhelmingly positive, and I will definitely return when I'm back in Brežice. If you're looking for a quaint and delicious dining spot, I highly recommend...

We really enjoyed our meals, the only issue was the lack of service. It was quite busy with reserved tables of customers, however, there were only two waitresses on duty who were run off their feet. We had to go inside to ask for more drinks but unfortunately we never got them. We were also going to have dessert but the staff were too busy to see if we wanted anything else and we couldn’t get their attention. Missed opportunity to make more money! We had to go inside once again to ask for our bill and to pay as the staff were too busy to attend to everyone and again we couldn’t get their attention. Once inside we waited twenty minutes to pay! Not good. The owners were sat on a table outside with staff members who had presumably finished their shift, which is fair enough but I would have thought that the owners themselves could have helped out at this busy time, even if it was just helping out at the till! More waiting...

An excellent restaurant! ✅️✅️ We had steak, ribs, fried calamari and pizza. All meals were PERFECTLY cooked! Steak was a perfect medium rare, just as ordered. Ribs were soft and juicy. Calamari was fresh and tasty. Even if you're not staying at their rooms, or are not nearby, it's worth it to come here just for food. ✅️ Quantities are excellent, you won't be left hungry. ✅️✅️ Staff is super friendly and capable. They made an extra effort to reserve a table for us even though we called only a few hours before. ⚠️ They are very busy on the weekends, so be sure to reserve beforehand. ✅️ There is a big field just at by the restaurant, so there is enough parking space. 💲 Prices are ok, around 15€ per person only for the meal (without dessert), 30€ if you have steak. ✅️ An ok selection of beer and other drinks. ➡️ Be sure to...
