As a beekeeper, I really enjoyed the Beekeeping Museum. Right at the start, there’s a short video about the life of bees that everyone should watch—it’s very informative and gives a great introduction to these amazing insects. One of the highlights is the glass hive where you can see the bees working up close without disturbing them. The museum also showcases beautiful hive paintings that capture the essence of beekeeping. There’s a model apiary displaying traditional tools and equipment used by beekeepers, which I found very interesting. At the end, you can play a simple and fun bee game on a TV, making the visit even more enjoyable. Overall, the museum offers a great mix of education, art, and beekeeping culture. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in bees!

This museum is surprisingly large and informative. Even my wife, who studied biology in university, learned something about bee behavior! There is also a good display about the development of beekeeping over time that we enjoyed. The highlight for us might have been the active hive where you could watch the bees go in and out, and demonstrate some of the behaviors discussed earlier in the museum!

Excellent museum about beekeeping in Slovenija, THE country of beekeeping! Historical presentations and artistic items, as well as informations about the life of bees. There is even a living beehive IN the museum, the bees flying through a tunnel to the outside world! Hvala lepa! (A beekeeper from Hamburg, Germany) (The entrance is near the music school, first floor of this big building!)

Leta 1963 so bili ustanovljeni Muzeji radovljiške občine, v katere so se združili do tedaj samostojni Kovaški muzej v Kropi, Čebelarski muzej in Muzej talcev v Begunjah. Poleg potujoče razstave poslikanih panjskih končnic so stalnice v dejavnosti muzeja občasne razstave, pedagoški in andragoški  programi (delavnice, predavanja…).

This museum uniquely demonstrates how bees live and how they are domesticated to produce honey. It doesn't seem to be big, but if you check and read everything you can easily spend an hour or even more. You can also see a real living hive through glass sides - we have spent 15 minutes just watching the bees: see how the clean the cells, bring in food, ventilate the hive and also how the queen is laying eggs (drones were just there doing nothing :) ...). Absolutely wonderful. There are a few interactive games as well....
