As for the beaches, here I was slightly disappointed. There are only city beaches which are not great, or stone beaches under big cliffs. All in all, you have to search and drive around.

Read moreI wouldn't call it a beach but surely you can sunbathe here and jump in the water from the piers, and go to the toilets (if they are open, if not, try the one for disabled persons), and sit down for a drink. There are multiple such "beaches" around Portoroz. This one is not so elegant, the one with the Medusa restaurant is slightly more sophisticated. You can freely walk around the place on foot, there are no entry fees but you will be charged for everything else.
