Graaff Reinette is a beautiful town with lovely historic buildings. A visit to the Reinett House will be a high light. Beautiful yellowwood beams in the roof. An impressive Apple wood bedroom set in the main bedroom of which the grain was handmade, also caught my attention. An old vineyard can also be seen in the yard. In one of the outbuildings is a beautiful transport model set made from wood to scale. I did not observe that this museum is wheelchair friendly, so please consult with the staff. Very interesting displays such as antique dolls, historical medical care available in Graaff Reinet, history of teaching college as well as that of the SAPolice college that took over the facilities. Ladies historical fashion display etc Very similar to that at Groot Constantia. Outside other further displays such as old vehicles used during Boer Wars.
