I have taken my children to see many shows at the NCT over the years and we are never ever disappointed! Yesterday, my 8 year old daughter and I, were treated to a showing of The Hobbit (I won two tickets in a FB competition). Let me just say that it was sheer brilliance! We loved every single minute. We laughed a lot. We were completely transfixed as we were transported (so cleverly) to middle earth. If you missed it, you really did miss out! Also let me add, that for the cost of a small, cheap meal out (can you get a cheap meal for R120 each?? I doubt that) you get a live show, an enthralling experience and what's more, your child is NOT sitting behind a screen on some kind of device!

Went here to watch the lion king play with the kiddies. It was the last performance for that particular show, the actors really did so well and quick thinking. The kids enjoyed it alot and the pricing for refreshments were more than reasonable. Its a pitty kids theatres like this are slowly fading away obviously due to lack of funding. Will certainly return in the future for another show

What an amazing group of people who produce and manage these shows. The quality of the actors and the interaction with the audience is phenomenal. Shakespeare's The Tempest was brought to life and the school children attending loved it. A thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining experience - we want more!!!

Very nice attraction for kids. Beautiful campus. Nice theaters. Something our kids need more interactions with. You can visit and get info on normal days. Very nice staff and willing to show u around and explain even on no Theater days. -Suggestions: It has great potentials to expand activities. -Like having a clown or someone wearing a character and be around to interact with kids. -a theatre theme playground to attract kids even on days that there is no theatre. Am sure they can use volunteers for some of the activities. -An art/ theatre books library, with adults and kids sections, With chairs/tables for kids to sit. Walls can have posters of previous theatres A volunteer reading such books for kids -An art shop, Selling masks/clothing of previous theatres or cartoon characters, These all can encourage and wake that theatre corner of...

#NCT is the place you'd want to take students to learn in drama in a different way or also student teachers to experience knowledge outside the classroom. This was an awesome play that we were shown "the Pied Piper" this show taught me how ignorant people in the higher positions are, and how some people in the streets didn't choose to be there but life took them there so we as people show some humanity and stop leaving people to suffer when we have more than enough. The performers are the most wonderful and they show so much emotion which makes the play to have meaning and better understanding. They engage with the audience and they do performing arts with so mucb passion. Big ups to the National Children's Theatre for the great show and for being welcoming. Oh and the flowers outside are...
