Huddle Rec is a beautiful facility, but our experience was ruined by poor staff management and clear favoritism toward members.
Our round started late due to sprinklers and a wait for someone to assist us with a golf cart. This initial staff delay put us behind pace.
The main issue was the continuous pressure from a group of four behind us who shouted at us across the course—even during our swings. This was not a general pace problem: we spoke to the two lovely ladies behind them who had no issue with our pace, nor did the two gentlemen who followed later on the back nine.
We were happy to let the aggressive group play through, but the course ranger directly approached our group, not the disruptive members. We were essentially forced to wait 15 minutes for them to catch up and pass us. For the rest of the game, we were noticably tailed by the ranger for no clear reason as we did not hold anyone up.
I kid you not, the explanation we received was that the aggressive players were "members", which was the only reason the staff prioritized their demands over our paid-for experience. This discrimination against regular paying customers was clearly felt. We also spent a good deal of our time fixing the "members" divots they left behind and raking the sand that they messed up.
It's a pity, as the course is lovely, but we will not be returning, especially without a membership, so members can play as quickly...
Read more(I just went back and looked at all the low star ratings and it really is evident that Huddle is not addressing the issues regarding staff members that are rude to customers, if you addressed any of the issues regarding the staff who are rude, then you won't have rude staff anymore...)
My wife and I have visited Huddle every other weekend for almost 5, going 6 years now. We have experienced great times, exploring their walking trails, playing golf, eating at the restaurant etc.
I have one major issue and this has happened on around 3 occasions. This weekend being the 3rd. There is an elderly gentleman, whom I believe is some manager, who has felt the right to verbally yell at us and proceeds charge of with his golf cart without us even being able to handle the matter in a civil manner. I don't know what his name is.
I seems like he is very comfortable doing so as he is not being addressed by management. He doesn't care, and has adapted himself in treating customers like that without remorse.
Will anything even be done regarding this?
It's so upsetting to a point where I'd actually rate a 1 star, although the facilities and upgrades are easily 5 stars. But be prepared to be randomly yelled at by this staff member.

Read moreThe Service is absolutely shocking! Staff members at the Pro Shop treat customers terribly! We booked for a 9 hole Marshie course and got charged for an 18 hole game! The staff member refused to let us cancel the booking and said we have to play, it's too late to change and that we cant play the 9 hole Marshie course...so we end up paying for the 18 hole course and then when we get to hole 2 the same staff member tells us we need to hurry up and that we should've booked for a 9 hole Marshie course! He started gaslighting us and had a sly grin. He made snide comments about us to one of his colleagues. It was extremely disrespectful.
Please note that experiences like this make paying customers less inclined to come back and share positive feedback with other people about the place.
