Motherland Coffee Company The Hood — Restaurant in Gauteng

I've heard a lot of great reviews on Motherland. However, I was not really impressed with my experience there. I find them to be very pricy for what you get, and although the atmosphere is very vibrant and the decor is great, the food is subpar and the service was lacking.... I ordered a bowl and essentially got a salad. The lettuce was not cut into manageable sizes, rather just full leaves, there was no sauce, and the menu said it came with beans but that never arrived with it. The waiters did not check in once to see how the food was. I simply expected more for what it was.

It is the third time I have been here and probably the last. Two times in a row, the etiquette of the person at the counter has been bad (same person). If a customer does not understand what you are saying or meaning, don't get irritated with them. I was being respectful throughout. Some training is definitely required.
