What a disappointment.
We arrived at Ribs & Burgers The Neighbourhood Square on Sunday afternoon, they were not at all busy. We placed our order with a waitress and began the wait for our food.
20 minutes later, the same waitress came to find out if we had ordered. Confused, we confirmed we had. The waitress asked if we had ordered with her and we confirmed. The waitress then asked us to again confirm what we ordered, and then told us that the order had gone in, so not to worry, it was coming soon.
Another 10 minutes went by and we signaled for someone to come to the table, the manager come and we asked if he could check where our food was - he walked to the counter, checked slips and then grabbed two plates of food - we thought these were ours. They weren't, the manager took the food to another table that had arrived 10 minutes ago (we had now been waiting over 30 minutes). The manager didn't come back to our table and I signaled for him again. When he came up, he was rude, unprofessional and frankly disgusting, when we asked what was going on he abruptly interrupted us and snapped that our food was coming soon, when we asked why it was taking so long, the manager again interrupted us, and with a louder and more arrogant and rude attitude snapped that the food was coming and we must either wait or he will 'com the food for us'. When we then said we need to understand what has happened as other tables that had been there for 10 minutes and received their food, the manager again interrupted us, and with a louder and more arrogant and rude attitude snapped that the food was coming and we must either wait or he will 'com the food for us'.
Mistakes happen and all we wanted was to understand what had happened and an apology, but all we got was unprofessional, disgusting and embarrassing attitude from a manager.
We went next door to Polpetta, the manager there could see how upset we were and when we told him what happened, he couldn't do enough, gave us complimentary dessert and made the experience amazing, when it was never his job to do.
Ribs & Burgers has lost our business going forward and I suggest that if you want proper service, go next door to Polpetta where you get...

Disappointing. I was so excited to visit this restaurant and well, it was a very underwhelming experience.
We visited on a slightly busy week night (due to loadshedding). Our food took way too long. It was not busy enough for our food to take so long.
Another table who came in at least 10-15 minutes after us, received their food before us. Okay...?
When our food finally arrived - it was COLDš(explains why it took so long. It was chilling there waiting for our waitress to bring it) One thing about me, I cannot stand cold food. My ribs were coldšand I didn't have the energy to send them back because I was so hungry. My burger was also cold š haibo guys? My partner's burger was warm, at least. How am I supposed to rate cold food? The burger was good but like, cold? Would have been much better if it was warm but here we are.
Only the fries were HOT. None of this adds up, I swearš
My partner ordered an iced lemonade š¤£š I laugh now, but it's not funny. It had to have been lemon juice. That was lemon juice, the worst lemonade I've ever had. No sweet, just plain sour and bitterš Had to get another drink, which was good, the iced orangead with ginger.
The kitchen staff had their heads covered except one non African lady, who also had access to the kitchen. I'd assume everyone who is able to go into the kitchen should have their heads covered because no body enjoys a strand of hair in their food, right? So that was annoying to see.
Over all not a great experience. I don't know if I would go back or if I should try a different R&B. We'll see.
