For the nature-lovers this walk is a perfect destination to get away and stroll through gorgeous fynbos. An easy to moderate hike taking you to the top of the peak where you're in for a treat, a flawless view over Pringle Bay, sweeping valleys, a view over Kogel Bay and all the way to Kleinmond. You can also admire the view over the lighthouse. Estimated time from the car park and back again is about 3 hours.

Awesome hike and trail!!! Spectacular views of the coast and inland. The route is not marked and is in fact circular and is about 7km if you do the loop. As you head out on the only trail, you head right at the first 'fork' and to the top and then continue 'round'. There is also another trail heading left of the main trail that we didn't take.

This is a great little hike to do if it is not windy. Amazing views from the top of Hangklip over false bay and towards Betty's Bay. Took +/- 3 hours there and back taking it easy. The uphill is moderate. Weather can change quickly in the Cape. As always when hiking take: - hat - sun cream - water + snack - jacket - phone

As you head out on the only trail, you head right at the first 'fork' and to the top and then continue 'round'. There is also another trail heading left of the main trail that we didn't take.

Some good birdlife , also a good spot to see the Orange-breasted sunbird. Although this is a nature reserve I am extremly dissapointed that most people come to walk in the reserve with their dogs and all of them without a leash. This was observed on more than one occasion and hope that this will be corrected by Cape Nature soon. There are some nice lookout points and if you feel more adventurous the view on the top is something to enjoy!

Wear jeans and closed shoes as there are Puff adder and other venomous snakes in...

Great hike. Most beautiful views from the top. In summer you need to go early. Pick a day with minimum wind is not easy. No dogs are allowed even on a leash. Tough 2 hour hike with 400 m elevation. Not well marked. I used the AllTrails App to follow the loop route up to the top of Hangklip. Take hat, water, sunscreen, windbreaker and good walking shoes. We saw baboons at the top. Don't feed them or take your sandwiches out close to them because they will...
