WOW. A new delight in the picturesque village of Pringle Bay.

A personalised experience, in a warm, friendly, ebullient environment. A perfectly selected combination of considered stemware, crockery and cutlery, set in a fresh, welcoming space that is gracefully decorated.

The attention to detail, passion and love is evident in every aspect of the restaurant.

Exceptional, bespoke cocktails - and a creatively unique wine list that pairs perfectly with each meal.

And then. The main event. THE FOOD. All produce is sourced with care, and of the best quality, which is then transformed into experimental, unique and whimsical delights that sparkle on the palate, as well as being a dream to look at. The dishes are novel and unexpected while still being hearty and filling - great value for money.

A relaxed fine dining experience that leaves you feeling uplifted, and excited for your next visit.

We’ve been a few times and can vouch for the consistency of food and service across breakfast, lunch and supper.

A truly creative surprise of a dining experience, where the patron is the priority.

Cannot recommend more!

It seems that Calvin (previously of Eat Out award winning Chefs Table in KZN) and Kelby Metior have created a gastronomic foodie destination that will bring diners to Pringle. Very excited to see what they do next!

A must visit if you’re in Pringle - or looking a new culinary experience that will delight all...

We drove to the restaurant to enquire wherther the restaurant took booking and specified our group size and what time we would want to book, we were told that they do not take bookings but they would be able to accomodate the group at the time we suggested. Upon arriving were told that they could not accommodate the group and the group was split up into multiple tables. We were served one cocktail and after finishing, our waitress came over and advised us that is was last call at 19:48 (Hours state that they close at 9), she said she was going to remove our empty glasses and return to take our last orders. The manager then approached us and said that we could not order more drinks as they were closing. On our intial inquiry we asked if they served food (we did specify the time we were going to arrive) and were advised that they only served snack plates and platters which was perfect. When we arrived, the menu stated that platters were only served until 6pm. All-in-all it was a very unpleasant experience, the staff were rather rude. As our group consisted out of Pringle residents as well as vacation guests, we have collectively decided that we would not be supporting this...

Severely limited food and drinks options. Only serves food during specific time slots.

Rooftop bar was vibey, but drink options are limited to a handful of things. Worth a stop by for a quick drink, but plan on heading somewhere else for post drinks and food.

Update - Post Business Response: I'm not sure which imaginary country you live in, but most restaurants don't have time slots where they can only offer specific things. I literally ate at every restaurant in Pringle Bay - your's was the only one that tried to be "different" when it comes to this.

In all honesty - you should just do away with a food menu when only the bar is open. Seeing as you only offer a handful of drinks, it would be more appropriate to offer snacks and food items at the bar which eliminates the dependency on the restaurant.

It makes ZERO sense offering a menu for food, and then literally putting time slots on the menu. Zero sense.

As one of the "high end" establishments (based on pricing) in and around the area you can really do and plan better. Honestly.

Take the feedback, and do with it...

Every South African, especially those based in the Western Cape, should make the journey to Pringle Bay to celebrate some milestone at the Book Club. It is a gem that hopefully will never be hidden. We should all be talking about this place. Locals from Cape Town to the edge of the Overberg mountains don't even need to use a milestone as an excuse. Just go there. My parents and I have enjoyed fine dining experiences as often as possible since we caught the bug about 10 years ago. This is hands down the best fine dining experience we enjoyed in our home country, and maybe ever. We were lucky enough to try all nine menu items available on that evening thanks to our niche dietary requirements (one vegetarian, one pescatarian, and one eats anything). All nine were insanely high quality. All that we missed was permission to lick our plates. We will be watching this husband-wife team's career with great interest and we wish the Book Club every success in the near and far futures. I can't recommend it enough. 7 stars.

We love our food and supporting local spots, and since we know the area well—including many of the restaurants on the wine estates—we were honestly not impressed. Wine: They sold us a R95 Paarl red wine for over R400. That’s a markup of more than 300%! Surely there should be some cap on these things? Eish. Food: The menu was interesting, but a bit inconsistent. The chocolate dessert (R125) was literally the size of a slab—dense and block-like. Meanwhile, the cheesecake was huge, easily ten times the portion of the chocolate dessert, yet more or less the same price. Starters and mains were decent, but for people who’ve eaten around the world, they felt over-flavoured rather than refined. Service & Atmosphere: Service was good, the barman was excellent, and the restaurant itself has a nice position in the village with decent décor. That said, I think Sundays and evenings would work better upstairs—it’s a bit more sophisticated and fitting for the setting.
