일산호수공원 보다는 작아도 시에서 관리하는 호수공원 이라 중간규모에 깔끔하다. 4계절이 뚜렷하고 계절별로 꽃을 대규모로 심어두어 4월 부터 10월 까지는 꽃 동산이다.

이곳은 그늘막이 설치 가능하고 따로 구역도 관리한다. 애견인들이라면 놀라운 소식이 있다. 애견놀이터가 존재한다. 생긴지는 3년정도 되었고 등록된 애견들만 입장 가능하고 대형견 소형견 놀이터가 나누어져 있다.

호수공원 한쪽에 익스트림 스포츠을 즐길수 있는 X 게임장과 농구코트 2개가 존재한다.

시에서 관리하는 게이트볼 (어르신들 전용) 게임장과 베드민턴 경기장이 있고

다목적 놀이터가 크게만들어서 올해 새로 열렸다. 추억의 방방이도 설치되어 있다.

호수공원내에는 잉어들이 엄청 많다. 산란기때는 잉어들이 산란하는 모습을 수초았는곳에서 볼수있다.

조깅코스와 자전거코스가 잘 되어 있다.

호수공원 초입에 조형물이 있는곳에 매점과 화장실이 있다.

해질무렵에는 도시야경과 호수공원 야경이 아주 이쁜곳이다.
