I visited this temple early in the morning. According to my friend, its building style and statues were preserved in their original style because it is owned by a Korean-Japanese entrepreneur, but I cannot confirm this. However, the temple's interior reminds me of many Japanese temples, such as tatami floors, stretched-out statue arrangements, and ornamental ceilings. It was quiet and clean. Since it is surrounded by many taller buildings, it is a good place to rest...

The chanting was very serene and I sat and joined them in prayer for an hour. At the end of the chanting session, the 아줌마 (Ajumma, Aunties in Korean) passed freshly home-made rice-cakes to all that were present; I received one too....
