One of the city's quieter and less crowded beaches, offering a relaxing seaside experience with a variety of attractions. It was Korea's first official public beach, opening in 1913, and has since become a popular spot for locals and tourists alike.

One of the main highlights of Songdo Beach is the Songdo Skywalk, a curved walkway that extends over the ocean. The glass-floored sections of the skywalk offer a thrilling experience, allowing visitors to look down at the sea below. The skywalk is free to access and provides stunning views of the coastline.

The beach itself is sandy and calm, making it a great spot for swimming, sunbathing, and family-friendly activities. There are several restaurants and cafes nearby, serving fresh seafood and other local dishes. In the summer months, lifeguards are present, and there are facilities like changing rooms and showers available for beachgoers.

Songdo Beach is also known for its cable car, the Busan Air Cruise, which offers panoramic views of the sea and the surrounding area. The cable car connects the beach to Amnam Park, another scenic location that is great for hiking and enjoying nature.

Access to the beach is convenient via public transportation. It’s about 20 minutes from downtown Busan by bus or taxi. There are also parking areas available for those driving.

Songdo Beach tends to be less crowded than Busan’s other famous beaches like Haeundae and Gwangalli, making it a more relaxed option for those looking to avoid...

5-Star Review: Stunning Songdo Beach in Busan

I'm thrilled to share my exceptional experience at Songdo Beach, Korea's first public beach!

Standout Features:

Clear Waters: Clean and inviting ocean perfect for swimming and water activities. Scenic Dining Options: Plenty of restaurants and cafes offering breathtaking ocean views. Public Exercise Equipment: Convenient and scenic workout spots overlooking the beach. Safe Environment: A secure and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. Endless Entertainment: A vibrant beach with plenty of activities and attractions.

Personal Experience:

I had an amazing time at Songdo Beach! The scenic views, delicious food, and lively atmosphere made for an unforgettable experience. However, I did encounter a large number of jellyfish during my summer visit. Hopefully, this was an isolated incident.

Insider Tips:

When coming from Haeundae, take express bus 1011 for a stunning scenic route crossing Busan's three main bridges.

Verdict:

Songdo Beach is a must-visit destination in Busan! With its crystal-clear waters, scenic dining options, and lively atmosphere, it's perfect for families, dates, and friend gatherings.

Rating: 5/5 stars

Will we return? Absolutely!

We read 'SkyWalk' so we were expecting something a little higher! It is a walkway over the sea just a few metres above the the sea level. There is, in parts, the opportunity to look down through very scratched plexi glass to the sea below, which is also somewhat dark. Don't expect to see fish swimming around underneath the walkway, Busan is a very busy sea port and the sea reflects this. At one point you have to scramble over rocks to reach the viewing area at the end, this could be very difficult for less able folk or...

The PERKS of nature cities (even for non-nature lovers) šŸ‘‡ It’s not all volcano walks and glacier trails. Nature comes in all forms! Like beaches, clearings with a view, and picnics in the park. Here’s the main reasons why nature cities really are the best picks: šŸ–ļø Free fun - beaches, trails, and lookouts⁣ that you can walk to are (almost) always free to enjoy. āŒšļø Time consumers - thinking of the time while you travel isn’t ideal…BUT activities that consume a lot of it (like outdoor ones) save money. It leaves less time for boredom and ā€˜entertainment’ spending. ā£šŸŒ‹ Rewarding - it may or may not seem like it at the time, but those outdoor activities are pumped with endorphins, time with your mind, and sometimes actually finish off with an accomplishment that’ll go a long way. ⁣ šŸ‘‹ Friend-makers - some of the best people to meet while traveling are backpackers. You’re bound to find someone from your home country…and a lot of them love the nature stuff! ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #southkorea #busan #songdobeach #koreatrip #southkoreatrip #travelingasia #backpackingasia #budgettravel #budgettraveller #naturetravel #outdoortravel #travelreels #travelvideo #travelblogger #travelguide #travelkorea #travelingkorea #oceanview #naturetrip #freetravel #slowtravelling #fulltimetraveler #budgettraveltips #oceanwalk
