Staying Fairfield in Autumn was quite a poor experience. The view was awesome - you can see the entire Songdo beach from your room - everything else was lackluster.
The greatest bugbear was the airconditioning. The hotel does central heating from Autumn, which means that they turn off ventilation in all rooms, and attempt to heat all of them up to 28 degree celsius. I woke up in the middle of the night struggling for breath because the air was so stale, and covered in sweat under the sheets. It makes absolutely no sense for the air conditioning to be turned off at night when people need it the most, only to be turned back on in the day, when people are out. The front desk was not much help, the only advice they gave was to open the windows. I ended up not sleeping in the bed, but on the sofa next to the window, accompanied by the cacophony of vehicle noises throughout the night, with the blinds banging against window. I had to request for a fan to be sent to the room before I could have any decent rest.
Every guest looks for comfort in a hotel, and sadly, my experience in the hotel had been entirely awful.
Other things about the room - toilets cannot be completely closed off from the rest of the room - this opens up the room to a nicer view, but makes things a little awkward when you are travelling with friends.
Facilities - comes with a gym, the treadmills face out to the beach which is a nice touch. Washing machines and dryers also provided for a small fee. There's a small roof top area where you can hang out but there's nothing much there to do or see.
Services - breakfast buffet is a total bust. All the food there was terrible. You'd do better eating from the convenience store downstairs. Waffles were hard as rocks, every other item on the menu was bland or cold. Latte from the coffee machine formed lumps. The only decent item was the bibimbap which you can make yourself.
Location - while you have access to Songdo beach, the place is still developing, and many of the attractions were closed, like the skywalks nearby. Most people seemed to go there for the sea activities. It is also tough to do any sightseeing around the rest of Busan without having to call a cab, as there is no subway nearby, and you'd have a scale a mountain to get to the...

Read moreI can honestly say that my recent stay at Fairfield by Marriott Busan Songdo Beach was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. I've never felt so compelled to write a review. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the modern, welcoming atmosphere of the property, paired with the exceptional service that truly set this stay apart.
The hotel’s location, right by the stunning Songdo Beach, offers breathtaking views that I couldn't get enough of. Waking up to the sight of the ocean every morning was a highlight of my trip. The beach itself is just steps away, and I loved how peaceful and serene the surroundings were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city.
The staff went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of my stay was great. From the friendly check-in process to the attentive service throughout my visit.
The room itself was a beyond amazing. Spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with all the amenities I could possibly need. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the rooms specific touches like a Nespresso machine, water filter and high-quality toiletries added an extra layer of luxury to my stay.
One of the standout features of this hotel is the on-site restaurant, where I had one of the best meals during my time in Busan. The dinner choices were the stand out for me and the pasta dish was by far my favorite.
If you're looking for a hotel that combines comfort, luxury, and an unbeatable location, then I would defiantly look no further than Fairfield by Marriott Busan Songdo Beach. I can't wait to return to this incredible gem next time...
