Songdo Bay Station — Attraction in Busan

Zero star if I can rate this place.. watch our for her in the picture attached! Disappointing with the attitude and behalf the counter serving staff. We as a foreigner came here to buy a ticket and one of the visitor who is korean have us his unused ticket for us since he probably can’t get refund or change the timing, however, we can’t speak korean as he tried to explain to us. Then we have this ticket to the attendant who assist the queue for visitor queuing up for purchase and ask what’s this ticket about? Instead, she took the ticket and kept it and when we asked what this about, she said cancel! We were mad as she walk to the machine and cancel it and apparently she wanted us to pay ourselves a new ticket ! When we asked to return the ticket to us so we can approach the counter staff and asked, she rush to the counter and told the counter staff in korean language wand apparently said the ticket was canceled! This is wasteful of others money and make more for the cable car? This leaves a bad taste of korean behaviour to me as a visitor and I posted her picture here for authority to take action. She is a cheater and company should have punished her for her wrong doing or give me an answer why she did this yesterday - Dec 25? It spoilt my day especially on the Christmas Day.. I can always afford to pay for one ticket but I don’t think the cable company tried to earn from visitors for the unused ticket??? A liar or cheater? Anyway, not worth a ride and nothing big deal to see.. just a sea view and overlooking to the Busan port. I won’t come back for sure!!! Plan to file my complaints to Korea tourism...

📍Destination Highlight: Busan Air Cruise in Songdo Beach, Busan

Songdo cable car is one of the most popular facilities in Songdo beach and what made Songdo beach popular as it is now. It has a total length of 1.62km and is located 86 meters above sea level.

There are two types of cable cars you can pick, crystal cruise and air cruise (15,000won roundtrip). Crystal cruise is more expensive (20,000 won roundtrip) because it has transparent flooring made of tempered glass.

The cable car takes 6 to 8 people and can take up to 8 people. You may take the cable car with others.

Tips:

The ticket office is very crowded so you might need to wait in a long line. If you use kiosk it's much faster but you can't get any discount.

Enjoy the view of whole Songdo beach, Amnam park, Namhangdaegyo Bridge, Yongdusan Park, and Busan Tower through the window on all sides.

From the base station, you will arrive at Sky Park, a well-designed park makes up with some sculptures and moving dinosaurs. There is a building called Sky Harbor where you can buy some snacks as well as an observatory where you can see the view of Songdo beach, sky, and the cable car.

If you buy a one-way ticket, you can save around 4000 and you can walk down to Songdo beach. It only takes 30 minutes and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the walking trail.

How to get there:

Get off at Busan Station then ride bus 17, 26, 61 or 134 to Songdo Beach.

Songdo Marine Cable Car attraction is Lovely. You have Glass Floored Cars where one can see the Sea below. There are covered ones too where one enjoys the Scenic view of the surroundings. The Sky walk into the sea is another spectacular attraction as one can walk and see the water below. Its Beautiful but can be scary for Claustrophobic people. So one should take care as the center Path ways have grills so one xan see the water below.

There are joyride boats where people really have fun. There are couple boats where presently many use them and there is also a Patrol boat to protect you. The Beach is beautiful. Lots of people Swim in Summerq. It has Showers and changing room. Passage ways for physically challenged kids and so on. There are man made structures of a whale and Dolphins in the Sea which is another beautiful scene.

There are lovely hotels for tourists and Reasonably affordable prices, Good food and Parks and lots more.

So in short theres a lot to enjoy if you are around. I hope uou have fun.

The Typhoons put many a thing to standstill. The rides have recently started and few coming to enjoy. Songdo beach has quitened. Repairs being carried out.
