The Daegu Hyanggyo is a hyanggyo in Daegu, South Korea. A hyanggyo is a state-sponsored academy where students studied to prepare for the gwageo, the civil service examinations during the Goryeo and Joseon periods. This hyanggyo was founded in 1398 during the reign of King Taejo of Joseon.

대구향교는 1398년(태조 7)에 창건되었다. 임진왜란 때 소실되었다가, 1599년에 달성공원에 세워졌다. 1605년에 교동으로 옮겨졌다. 일제강점기에 향교 중심으로 독립운동을 두려워하여 지금 자리 중구 명륜로 112에 옮겨졌다.

정은자정은자

고즈넉하고 나무와 건물에서 오랜 세월이 느껴지는곳입니다. 그러나 문도 다 잠겨있고 딱히 둘러 볼 것이 없어서 아쉽습니다. 주차는 향교주차장 따로 있는데 유료입니다~

A very peaceful place. I think for the people who are seeking to know a bit more of Daegu history is a nice place to visit. I liked it was not full of people, very low profile worth visiting place. It has beautiful traditional buildings in the middle of the city, very interesting contrast to see. I would highly reccomend, specially for those who like traditions...

전통혼례식을 할수 있는 대구 유일한 곳... 주차장이 협소하여 좀 불편하여 일반교통 이용하는것도 바람직.. 혼례후 지하층에 있는 식당에서 주는 설능탕이 왠지 옛날 풍습이 새삼 느껴짐.. 전통혼례가 우리것이지만 우리에겐 낯설게만 느껴지고 국제결혼하는 외국 분들의 관심이 더 큰걸까... 내가 방문한 그날도 외국인과의 국제결혼식이...
