CGV 제주 — Attraction in Jeju

In this hot weather it is easy to lose your cool. Starving, running late for a movie, I lost my patience waiting for the staff to prepare a hotdog. I would have been happy to eat it raw, and raw would be a good way to describe my manners.

A day later, I am sitting in their air conditioned lobby after returning hoping to find my bluetooth earphones I lost the night before.

Unlike me losing my patience, they not only found my earphones, but made a note of it in their computer system, and stored them in a secure location.

I worked at a cinema for a short time, and while touch screens have made queues easier and shorter, trying to prepare hotdogs, and food for potentially hundreds of hungry people is a challenge.

Movie ticket prices may seem expensive, but movies and theatres have changed the world, and enjoying a brief journey to another world in an air conditioned theatre can be a much lower calorie alternative to a high calorie coffee drink, and if you are lucky you can experience a magical journey that reminds you of your manners, and an earlier simpler time when people worked hard, and shared their laughter and tears with families in person or in crowded theatres and didn't forget their manners ranting on...

Korea's biggest cinéma franchise CGV's store in GuJeju(Old Jeju). Since it's located next to the most populous area in the island, the cinema is crouded as well. They don't have 4DX or IMAX theaters, but they have a premium cinema, which is a cinema equipped with recline chairs. Ticket booth and popcorn stand is located on the second floor and there is a café for 'CJ one' members as well. The screens are located on the 4th and 6th floor. Saw Dune 2 here. It was so loud it actually caused quite a bit of discomfort.

I'm surprised there isn't any technology that adjusts the volume of the film to an appropriate volume. I had my ears covered for quite a few sections of the dramatic action sequences in the film, as did others.
