When we arrived, it was beginning to snow and get very windy. We had some difficulty getting our luggage to the front door (5 large and 4 small rollers), but unfortunately we did not get any assistance from the staff members and the front desk staff member was just standing there looking at us (not sure if it's for their own safety to stay indoors or security reasons but it was a bit awkward and we could've used the extra hands to get us away from the cold weather quicker). Otherwise, checking in was quite easy and checking out was also quick.||We stayed in two rooms (1 double and 1 triple since there were 5 of us) and the rooms are reasonably sized, however in the triple room, it was a bit dirty. There were brown stains on the side of the mattress, floor and curtain. Keeping in mind, these were there when we arrived. The amenities are just the usual water, coffee and tea and the hotel is in close proximity to convenience stores and restaurants (7-Eleven is just behind the hotel and a Nice to CU down the street). The air conditioning system was a bit difficult to understand, this may be partly due to user error/incorrect translations using my phone, but we were able to figure out how to change it by the end of our stay. The bathroom was nice and clean, and had the standard shampoo and body wash. There is no laundry service available at this hotel.||Breakfast was quite limited. There were many korean dishes available, but if you're wanting more western food, there isn't much to pick from. If you arrive closer to 9am (last order) you'll have to see the staff and they'll make you a set meal. Alternatively there are the convenience stores and the cage next door.||Overall, our stay at Hotel Shalom could've been better. More attention towards cleanliness and customer service would have made the stay just...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at hotel Shalom, and I must say it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The location of the hotel was simply outstanding. Situated just a 30-minute walk away from both the vibrant street market and the famous black pork street, it offered easy access to the heart of Jeju's cultural and culinary scene. One of the first things that caught my attention upon entering the hotel was its pristine cleanliness. From the spotless lobby to the well-maintained corridors. The room itself was impeccably clean, and I was pleased to find fresh linens and towels waiting for me upon arrival. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. Now, let's talk about the one perplexing aspect of my stay: the absence of curtains in the bathroom. It was an odd design choice that left me scratching my head. While the bathroom itself was clean and functional, I couldn't help but wonder why there weren't any curtains to provide a sense of privacy. It seemed like a minor oversight in an otherwise well-thought-out hotel. Despite this puzzling bathroom setup, I must emphasize that it did not significantly impact my overall experience. The hotel's positive attributes, including its prime location, cleanliness, and friendly staff, more than made up for this minor inconvenience. In conclusion, my stay at this hotel in Jeju was fantastic. Its unbeatable location, coupled with the cleanliness of the rooms and the friendliness of the staff, created a memorable experience. Although the lack of curtains in the bathroom left me somewhat confused, it didn't detract from the overall...

Taking a risk to stay 3 nights in a row for a hotel. But no regrets, shalom is wearing but very comfy and so convenient to go anywhere. It is my first encounter also to have extra disposable amenities packed up for me when I didn’t request at all. The housekeeping staff are really attentive. A local supermarket just across the hotel where you can get cheap hardtacks and fruits. About 10 mins walk towards city hall I found my favourite eatery where minimum conversation is required for ordering and you can enjoy affordable and delicious meal with banchan. A cheap coffee booth also near the bus stop at city hall. 7 storey daiso at the corner of traffic light. Bus stop is right in front of hotel, need not worry if come back late from sighting. Airport bus will alight in front of hotel. Cross the road board bus, 2 stops to bus terminal and to airport. Hotel reception can help call taxi if need to. Lift can be access without card and room door is auto locked which is not to my liking. The bathroom lights switch are not located outside the bathroom, which is a bit inconvenience. Carpets in room got stains and sofa is wearing, but not too much of a concern for me. Everything else is perfect for me, the bathtub, toilet seat warmer, table space, charging sockets, shower pressure, beds, tea. I opened the window to sleep at night for the cool air, and not disturbed at all by the traffic noise even though I am a light sleeper. Beautiful sunrise...

Strongly don't recommend this hotel. Really unpleasant experience. Cannot live up to a four starred hotel expectation. Hotel reception denied our group's request to turn on air-conditioning for our rooms. According to the staff, they only turn on air conditioning from April onwards, regardless of warmer temperature near end March. We experienced rude service throughout our stay, with no smile at all from the reception to housekeeping personnel. The restaurant manager demanded that we return our cockery, utensils, and tray to the tray return section. Only our group, despite seeing them, cleared the tables for others. The front desk manager argued with our group leader in Korean, over room allocation during checking in, and complimentary breakfast issues. Their hotel restaurant is akin to a cafeteria setting. Breakfast food choices are very limited and utterly unpalatable. Coffee lacks flavours.

My review is based on my personal experience which can be so different from others' experience. (+) Friendly & helpful staff. Booked a room via a***a app but somehow didn’t show up on the hotel’s booking system. After contacting a***a, there’s was a problem with the third party so they suggested to cancel the booking & book a new room directly at the hotel. The front desk staff on that day helped to book a room from her end via another app with a cheaper price than the one on a***a. Paid 75,000 ₩ for 2ppl 1 night Twin room (weekend) (+) Clean room & beds (+) Basic amenities & hairdryer (+) Free parking (+) Good location, walking distance from city hall area which is well known for its night life. (+) Convenience store is just a walk away.

We were disappointed with this hotel when compared to what we saw on their website. The hallway was dimly lit and had stained carpeting. In our room, the curtains and some of the furniture looked worn. There were stains on the loveseat, lampshade, walls and carpet. On the positive side, the countertops, bathroom and bed were clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and the manager was very helpful and kind. Our room was inexpensive and had a nice view of the city and mountains. Good central location with free parking, but we would choose another property next time in Jeju.
