The history of Jinjuseong Fortress is also the site of one of the most fierce battles during the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592. Jinjuseong Fortress is different from what you see during the day and at night. If you were looking around Jinjuseong Fortress during the day and looking at historical sites, it would be fun to see the night view at night. There is a Namgang River right in front of Jinjuseong Fortress, and Jinjusi City has a Yudeung Festival every year, so it will be more cool in the evening I personally recommend this place. If you come to Jinju, I recommend you to go there.

Beautifully preserved and maintained landmark park. The place is huge and we had a wonderful walk amidst the late summer heat. There are a lot of trees that provided plenty of shade. There are old buildings from the 1500s that they were able to restore. The fortress is has the river on one side so the view from the pathways and gazebos there was beautiful. You can also see several memorials for the fallen heroes of the battle of Jinju. Stop by the museum to learn more. I would love to come back in October for the famous lantern festival.

There are old buildings from the 1500s that they were able to restore. The fortress is has the river on one side so the view from the pathways and gazebos there was beautiful. You can also see several memorials for the fallen heroes of the battle of Jinju. Stop by the museum to learn more. I would love to come back in October for the famous lantern festival.

It is one of great historic site for the grassroots' defending the fatherland in Joseon dynasty during the japanese invasion of Korea from 1592 to 1597. I have been feeling that as a korean, at least once or twice in my life, i must visit and commemorate Nongae who sacrificed her life to kill the commender of Japanese army by falling into the river together. Her patriotism inspired many koreans and i was one of them. So, I took a day from my 3 day offs and came to this place. The castle was well maintained and the museum was full of contents that tells the tragidies during this era. Lots of korean histories demonstrated here will be a great knowledge for anyone to know Korea...
