The 63 Building, also known as 63 Square, is an iconic landmark on Seoulโ€™s Yeouido Island, recognized for its striking gold facade and panoramic views over the Han River. Completed in 1985 to symbolize South Koreaโ€™s economic ascent before the 1988 Olympics, it became one of the tallest gold-clad structures in the world and remained the tallest building in the country until 2003. Named for its 63 floors, the building hosts a variety of cultural and public attractions, including 63 Sky Artโ€”the highest art gallery globallyโ€”and an observation deck with views stretching to Incheon. Inside, visitors can also explore Aqua Planet 63, an expansive aquarium, and enjoy an IMAX theater and diverse dining options, making it a hub for leisure and culture. The 63 Building also serves as the headquarters for Hanwha Life, reflecting Seoulโ€™s corporate influence while offering a dynamic public space that merges art, architecture, and scenic...

As part of Discover Seoul Pass package, we visited this place and enjoyed the view of Yeoeudo. 63 Art located at 60th floor of this building and has small art studio. There were cafeteria and also small gift shop at 60th floor. It was amazing experience to us watching the city view over 60th floor. Only one concern was Free shuttle Service from near by Subway station to 63 building. The info said those free shuttle buses should circle between this place and several stops every 15 minutes but it was more than 25 min. It might because of traffic or commuting time but anyway we waited pretty long period of time at the bus stop. Don't forget to visit 63...

It used to be the tallest building in Korea. The observation on the top floor is worth visiting if you're new to Seoul. But if you want more holistic "top floor experience", I highly recommend to check the restaurant called "Walking on the cloud". Because it's already high enough and you can have food or drink, I think the restaurant may be the better option for some cases. There are many fancy shops and an aquarium. This building is for everyone.

Enjoyable: 4/5 Design: 4/5 Staffs: 3/5

Good place if you're staying near Hongdae or west side of Seoul. (if you're staying near Gangnam area, there is a good substitute,...

Suggest start at the bottom with a coffee, maybe mid afternoon. Then go through the aquarium (ticket required) which had a lot to see, including a mermaid show. Then take the life up to the art gallery (ticket also required (can be bought together with ticket for aquarium)). The exhibition may be very well be interesting but you'll be looking out the window when you first get up there as the views are amazing. Go up while it's still daytime so you can see the daytime views, then while you wait for it to get dark you can browse the exhibition and have another coffee and some snacks. Once it's dark the night views are amazing..
