Yeouido Hangang Park (여의도한강공원) is an absolute gem in the heart of Seoul! This park offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and urban convenience. I recently spent a day here, and it was an unforgettable experience. First off, the scenery is stunning. The views of the Han River are breathtaking, especially at sunset. There are plenty of open spaces for picnicking, biking, and jogging. The park is immaculately maintained, with clean pathways and well-kept gardens. One of the highlights is the variety of activities available. You can rent bikes or even paddleboats to explore the river. There are also several sports facilities, including basketball and tennis courts. For families, there are excellent playgrounds that keep the kids entertained for hours. Another great feature is the selection of food trucks and cafes scattered throughout the park. You can enjoy everything from traditional Korean snacks to international cuisine, making it easy to spend an entire day without needing to leave for meals. The cherry blossoms in spring are a must-see, transforming the park into a sea of pink and white. It's a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, so it can get a bit crowded during peak times, but the vibrant atmosphere is part of its charm. Overall, Yeouido Hangang Park is a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Whether you're looking to relax, exercise, or enjoy a day out with family and friends, this park has something for everyone. Highly recommended!

Totally enjoyed picnic-ing at this place with my family! Almost missed it as we thought the only food that could be purchased there was ramyeon but I was wrong. It was our first time and we had fun. Convenience stores and restaurants can be found across the road before you enter the park. At the entrance area, you could rent tables, mats and wet wipes for a fee of $8-$10 (depending on what you need), from stalls. You won’t miss them. Do note that they will require you to place your driving license/ID card/passport with them as a rental guarantee. Ahjummas will be swarming you with flyers. That’s where I learnt there are choices like fried chicken (BHC) and 7-11 nearby. If you buy instant noodles from Hangang Park 7-11, where BHC is as well, there are machines to cook them located at the back (see video attached) It was a good time eating and chilling, soaking in the atmosphere. No wonder the place was packed on a Friday evening. Our mat and table had to be returned by 9pm which we did much earlier (as my driving licence was with them. Don’t want to leave the place without it). Hope you guys will have fun as much as we did. Another alternative place will be Banpo Hangang Park, just fyi if you are nearer to that location.

Visited this place last Jan 8, on the last day of our Korea trip. We went in the afternoon to kill time before our flight at night. Yeouido is only a bus away from Hongdae where we stayed, and I stand by taking a bus instead of the subway. The bus took the bridge crossing Han River. Great view plus no need for any subway transfers! As we experienced it, Yeouido is a chill neighborhood. No tourists at all when we went. Weather was cold at -3°C - and even colder whenever the wind blew along the river! My boyfriend and I enjoyed the walk all the same Recommended activity that we did while we were there: buy & cook ramen at a convenience store and eat at one of the picnic tables at the park. We bought ramen from the big eMart24 in the middle of the park. The ahjussi there was so kind to explain the kinds of ramen, the sides available to buy (small pouches of cheese, egg, kimchi, etc), and how to use the induction ramen cooker! Delicious ramen + kind ahjussi + outdoor ambiance = great experience all in all.

We stayed a week in Seoul and that day we felt like getting a bit away from all the action downtown. A quick subway ride brought us to this pleasant park right at the Han River. There are lots of locals, mostly school kids and students (at least on a weekday) roaming the area and not many tourists....which isn't a bad thing. This park has quite a nice setting with some good city views and lots of space to walk, bike or relax. A bit SEOUL sign at the river is the perfect photo op. There is a good number of small restaurants, mostly chicken & beer and a huge bike rental, if you feel like driving instead of walking, quite cheap even. If you are here in spring you might get lucky to see the cherry blossoms....we just missed by only a few days. Well, a good reason to go back I guess. After this park you should also check out the nearby Yeouido Park with some nice strolls (and more cherry blossoms in season). All in all a nice place to spend some time away from all the action.

As a tourist seeking respite from Seoul's pulsating energy, Yeouido Hangang Park emerged as a welcome sanctuary. The Han River's grandeur unfolded before me, its vastness mirrored by the awe-inspiring cityscape. Witnessing the panorama, bathed in the winter hues of the day, was a visual feast for the senses. Beyond the captivating vistas, the park unveiled its true magic in its quieter corners. Seated on a bench, a warm cup of coffee in hand, I found solace in the gentle murmur of the river and the city's soft hum, a symphony of tranquility amidst the urban vibrancy. This serene haven provided the perfect space for reflection, allowing me to process the whirlwind of experiences Seoul had offered and recharge before rejoining its electrifying rhythm. Yeouido Hangang Park stands not only as a testament to the city's beauty but also as a refuge for weary travelers seeking a moment of peace and rejuvenation.
