My visit to "Children's Grand Park" in May 2014 was a very bad moment. This free zoo had a lots of animals trapped in very small places, permanently surrounded by a noisy crowd of visitors. The weather was very hot then, and the vast majority of the animals were obviously suffering from a deep boredom, making circles in concrete enclosures, sometimes with no vegetation at all. In this zoo I saw bears with no place to hide from the sun and just a metal wheel to play with, monkeys on artificial rocks, looking in the vague, big cats and sea lions stunned by the heat... They even had a polar bear, looking so miserable on his little platform of concrete, facing a small pond with a strong smell of chlore... In this park they also had the most depressed elephants I've seen, in a ridiculously small enclosure for such big animals... I can still recall the anguished look in their eyes, as they were staring at the crowd around them... All the animals in general seemed to be sad in this place, it was heartbreaking. Unfortunately, I've seen on Tripadvisor and in a lots of recent Google comments that their poor living conditions don't seem to have changed a lot since my visit in 2014... It's been five years now but I'm still thinking of them, hoping that one day they could be offered a better life...

Free Seoul public park. If have a family of kids under 17 best to arrive early to maximize time spent there.

My advice is to check out the animals around 10am or so that because the zoo shuts done at 430pm. Then the rest of the time at the amusement park. You can easily spend the whole the day at the zoo/amusement park.

I would say spend at least 1.5 hours looking at the animals and walking around before hitting to the amusement park.

Went on a weekday, no line at all for the entrance or rides. Best to get an all day pass for the kids at $25000 WON each and a adult for $28000WON. It is worth it…..why?? Because there is no line for any rides when we were there.

I would say my kids went all the rides they want and as many times as they want. In Lotte world, we spent at least 60mins waiting in line for a ride. Again you need to maximize your time spent. This place is not the best rides but mostly like the carnival ride or festival rides you see at fairs.

So we spent the afternoon until the place close around 630pm. I would say we had more than 5 hours of endless rides instead of...

Entrance is free. This is a large park with many things to do children. It has a small but very fun (one nice fast roller coaster and several bumper cars and a bunch of other smaller rides for children) amusement park (closes at 6 pm), a smaller zoo, a children's museum (closes at 6 pm and Mondays), and a whole bunch of winding paths you can walk around to enjoy on a cooler walkable day. At 8 pm or so there's a water show at the large center fountain. there are even little small calisthenics bars around for work outs. I was able to do some workout!Overall a great fun place to spend a whole day for families with kids. Caution, it is outside though, so plan accordingly for hot days. Highly recommend for all...

The area is really big. Spent one whole afternoon in the children's museum. Entrance fee is considerably cheap as compared to the size of the museum's play area and the activities available. Do not have sufficient time to visit other areas. Came again and brought our kids to the zoo section. The zoo section is free. The area is quite big as there are several sections of animals. If you need a stroller or a cart, they are available for rent for just a small fee. The rental is a one time fee, NOT calculated on hourly basis. Definitely need to come again. A lot of activities available at the park.
