A Little Corner of Paradise on the Beach

I had the pleasure of spending a few hours at this chiringuito, and I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was made magical by the music of a free-spirited hippie singer who brought so much joy and positive energy to everyone present.

The owner,(not sure if is the owner) Eric, was incredibly kind and welcoming, even though he had to deal with some rude and impatient customers who, in my opinion, had no reason to behave that way. I witnessed several moments where the staff wasn’t treated with respect, but Eric handled everything with admirable professionalism and calm.

The food arrived quickly, despite the place being packed, and it was fresh and delicious. Thanks to the team for their excellent organization and impeccable service!

In summary, it was a pleasant and relaxing experience: a place where kindness shines and one worth visiting again. Thank you, Eric, and the entire team for making me...

Great place for a drink, view and feel of the place is fantastic. The food was a big miss however. Even though I realize the Canarias isnt Greece or Portugal concerning seafood (& availability): Calamari not crispy, clearly frozen, quite soggy. Not the great flavor you'd expect. Not worth the price tag. Mixed salad close to 10 EUR was lacking a dressing, salt, pepper (not sure it was the dressing or just residual water from improper drying) , the greens close to welted. The crocquetas are nothing to write home about either, a little fishy and didn't convey that much freshness to us. Disappointing meal, clearly tailored to the tourists. Servers and staff was attentive but for food we've found fresher options at far better prices...

Tltr: Nice place, good service, bad food.

The service, low waiting timea and atmosphere inside are very good, but I can't recommend the food. Ordered fish croquettes and squid rings. Fish croquettes are made from fish puree, if you expect to find any solid piece of tuna inside you will be disappointed. Instead you will find that the inside leaks outside, when you bite the croquet. It lacks spices and taste. The squid rings are fried in a batter without any spices, marinade as well, and are therefore tasteless. French fries, and sauces are good. Overall had to pay restaurant price for a food that resembled cheap frozen stuff sold in...

What a loction! And the free style is just perfect to the place. It's on the black lava sand&rocks beach long side the dry river. The food is local cuisine , it's very clean and the service is quick and kind. The only down side is kitchen opens 12:00-16:00 and it's always full. Out of those 4 lunch hours the cafe in the morning can be with cake, and afternoon only Tapas are served. When you come to think of it, they take it easy, as the vibe&rhythm of this beautiful island. Love it!

Great place for lunch and sunset drinks. We went to the bar a couple of times during our stay, both to eat and to have drinks. The food is very good, especially the catch of the day, and still really cheap. Service is friendly and quick. Note that food is only served between 12h and 16h, whereas the bar is open until 21h. The view is unbeatable right by the beach, especially in the evening. A definite recommendation when you are in Playa de Santiago.
