It's an awesome museum, unbelievable that it's free! We wanted to tip but unfortunately we didn't have any cash on hand, I wish we could've tipped by card.

We were warmly greeted by a super friendly receptionist (?) who told us everything we needed to know, was knowledgeable about our questions and we got very nice printed guides to guide us through all the rooms. It was even available in Hungarian!!!! with no grammar or spelling mistakes. What a miracle :)

The caves are awesome, this type of traditional architecture must be supported because it's very special in the world.

Fabulous experience, 10000%...

This is a very nice museum. Large numbers of visitors. It's a nice tourist attraction in Artenara. Cave dwellings as a ''flat'' should be not associated badly. It is a very good and economical idea of people who once lived there due to all caves has a permanent and nice interior temperature. Also, rain and wind are not a problem. It never snowed. The caves were furnished with original furniture and household appliances. It's worth seeing. I visited in January 2015. Very friendly staff. There is no problem with parking space. WC available. A small gift...

A very interesting and atmospherical museum with stunning views. We were the only people there so we had the caves to ourself to explore. The staff made sure we had a pleasant time and answered our questions. The cat that lives there followed us around the whole time. Fun fact: I went to this museum in 2017 and the cat was there already - so it was nice being back. Would definitely come back and recommend. Also there is no entrance fee but you can give a little tip to support the museum.

Really nice free museum maintained by the city. Highly recommended to visit. Be weary of a guy in town who would invite you to visit his house. While we were looking for the museum around the main square by the church, a guy approached my husband and wanted us to follow him. He seemed like having some sort of mental illness, but my silly husband entertained. Long story short, we wasted 20 minutes looking through his old house built in a cave, and then he asked for money. We gave him €5

A great museum that is taken care of very nicely. An older man gave us translation sheets for all the descriptions and also answered any questions we had about the caves very patiently. I feel like, if you do a trip to Gran Canaria, this is one of the spots you should definitely visit. A beautiful view, a lot to learn about Artenara‘s cultural history and friendly birds to say hello to 🐦 I’ll recommend this place to anyone that visits the island.
