Really nice architecture, designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and his only work in Spain. The centre itself is very impressive from an architecture point of view but sadly since its opening it has been covered in scandals for its bad management and the bad use of public money by the former management. The restaurants in the space, specially in the tower were not very lucky either and the Tower is closed these days. These days there are some exhibitions but not to the level of the building. This is a good example of how just a good infrastructure without a good management doesn’t...

Centro Niemeyer is an architectural gem in Avilés. I highly recommend visiting if you’re interested in modern architecture and cultural spaces.

It was designed by the legendary Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and is the only building he created in Spain. The structure reflects his iconic style with bold forms, flowing curves and a sense of light and openness.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t go inside because there was a private event that day, but on regular days you can visit the interior with a guided tour.

A must-see for architecture lovers and anyone looking for a unique experience in...
