Please be cautious when visiting this spot. We were there just three hours ago, about an hour before heading to the airport. Like many others, we parked by the roadside and stayed for about 20 minutes to enjoy the view and a snack at the top of the cliff. Unfortunately, when we returned to our car, we discovered it had been broken into. My backpack and a bag containing personal items—IDs, cards, money, and more—were stolen from the back seat, even though they weren’t left in plain sight.
It looks like they also tried to access the trunk but didn’t succeed, possibly because they were in a hurry. Sadly, this incident cast a shadow over what had otherwise been a wonderful trip to Tenerife. We didn’t even have time to file a report with the Guardia Civil as they told us we have to wait and we would’ve missed our flight.
Very disappointed—please take extra care...
Read moreThis place is AMAZING! My friend and I absolutely loved it! We took the bus from El Médano and then it was about a ten minute walk from our stop. Walk down to the pools was a little scary, but you’ll be fine just watch your step. The rocks are a little scratchy too, we saw a lot of people wearing water shoes which is an excellent thing to do if you have them. We walked on our bare feet and were fine. The pool is so cool, going up and down with the waves. We just jumped right in and the water is so salty you can easily float. We saw a lot of families with little kids hanging out here too. Definitely recommend this little spot! We also went another day and the tide was in so the pool was a little choppier and full. Still went in and it was fine, but if you’re worried about it you can easily check the tides ahead of...
Read moreOut of about 5 "natural pools" this one was the only natural one without concrete walls and with full-natural environment (apart from the very curiously looking caves of the homeless in the rock walls, but it is a very peaceful area). The pools are very interesting, since they are connected to the sea underwater (and under the rocks) so the water goes up and down as the sea waves, but otherwise the surface is completely calm. It is possible to swim, to jump (it is very deep, more than 3-4 meters) and to generally spend time along with a few dozen people. There are plenty of parking spaces next to the main road and the banana farms, unlike other parts of the island. I think this was the best natural pools we visited, definitely...
