Riva Eco Guesthouse in Los Abrigos is a Basic guesthouse for a good price. It's near the town centre and has a convenient bus stop in front. There's a very good Spanish cafeteria with full English breakfast and Spanish dishes and snacks, based in the ground floor of the same building. You can enjoy a nice terrace on the roof. WiFi is good. Small grocery shop across the street is handy. Check in is digital via site and WhatsApp communication for support, this could be a hassle. You have to pay €100,- deposit by credit card reservation, on the day of arrival, before you receive the entrance code. You can't do that earlier in advance because the button on the site only becomes active on the day of arrival, why? I didn't like the fact that I had to send a copy of my passport. Some parking spots in the streets close by, if your lucky. I liked the place, enjoyed my stay. It would be even better if they cleaned, organised and took more care of the furniture on the roof...
Read moreTHERE WERE ONLY 4 TOILETS INCLUDING TWO SHOWERS FOR SO MANY PEOPLE (APPROX. 20 ROOMS). THE TOILETS WERE OFTEN OCCUPIED. THATS A REALLY INHUMAN SITUATION, PLEASE OFFER MUCH MORE TOILETS/RESTROOMS AND SHOWERS. ITS UNBEARABLE IN THE MORNING OR EVENING TO RUN UP AND DOWN IN THE WHOLE HOUSE, TO FIND A FREE RESTROOM, IF ITS URGENT. ONE PERSON SHOWERED AT 01:30 HOURS AT NIGHT AND MADE A LOT OF NOISE.
BESIDES OUR ROOM C3 WAS NEXT TO THE KITCHEN. SO IT WAS LOUD BECAUSE PEOPLE USE IT UNTIL LATE AND START EARLY THE NEXT DAY. THERE WAS EVEN LIGHT COMING FROM THE KITCHEN INTO OUR GUEST ROOM WHEN SOMEBODY USED IT! WE COULDN‘T SLEEP VERY WELL. WHAT WE ALSO DIDN‘T LIKE WAS THE DEPOSIT TO BE PAID OF 100 EUROS. NOT ALL GUESTS DEMOLISH FURNITURE OR ROOMS. THIS POLICY SHOULD BE CLEARER COMMUNICATED IN ADVANCE. GOOD SITUATED IN THE VILLAGE. NICE TERRACE....
Read moreIf you want a cheap, budget but clean place to stay, then here is great. Not in a built up area, so no where near as touristic as other coastal areas of Tenerife. My bedroom was very small, and only had a small window that opened up to let fresh air inside. There was no view from the window, but hey for €35 per night I wasn't complaining. The shared bathroom and kitchen were cleaned daily. The kitchen was very small, but everything worked as it should. I was on the 2nd floor, then directly above me was a great roof terrace with plenty of place to eat and socialize. Directly outside was a super Mercado and bus stop. The tiny, quiet beach was 300 meters away, so only a pleasant 5 minute walk. On the road to the beach were small shops, bars and a pharmacy as well as a diving centre, hairdressers and...
