Lovely small fishing village away from the tourist areas. Black sand and stone beach, but with lots of amenities. Lovely views of Mt Teide and La Gomera. Lots of local restaurants and cafes varying from cheap and cheerful to top end. Buses, to the main tourist spots, run very frequently. Driving around is easy as most locals are very courteous drivers. Parking can be a bit hit and miss but it is available in just about every street and there are a few car parks dotted around. Long yet cozy, clean, with gentle descent into water and great infrastructure (clean public wc*, lots of showers, safeguards, wonderfull sidewalk and great views). And lots of great local coffe bars and restaurants around. If you're looking for a silent, not overcrowded with tourists spot, then it's a best choice to spend even few days.
