Lovely small fishing village away from the tourist areas. Black sand and stone beach, but with lots of amenities. Lovely views of Mt Teide and La Gomera. Lots of local restaurants and cafes varying from cheap and cheerful to top end. Buses, to the main tourist spots, run very frequently. Driving around is easy as most locals are very courteous drivers. Parking can be a bit hit and miss but it is available in just about every street and there are a few car parks dotted around. Plenty of "local" shops for all your needs. Overall a really lovely...

The best playa on the west coast if not in the whole Tenerife. Long yet cozy, clean, with gentle descent into water and great infrastructure (clean public wc*, lots of showers, safeguards, wonderfull sidewalk and great views). And lots of great local coffe bars and restaurants around. If you're looking for a silent, not overcrowded with tourists spot, then it's a best choice to spend even few days.

*note the wc kiosk is open only between 9-19, when the safeguards...

The cove has three steps on which you can lie down. Small stones allow you to lie down without any discomfort or pain. The entrance to the sea is facilitated by a swimming pool ladder. There is no lifeguard so you have to be careful not to end up against the rocks. Rock shoes help you get in and out of the water and avoid bites from sea urchins (many of them)...
