Piscinas Naturales de Punta Mujeres — Attraction in Haría

Great natural sea water pool that fills twice a day with the tide. Signposted from the road and nestling on the rocky coast with a good local tapas bar opposite. Has steps and handrails for safe access. The sea just tops the wall on some tides. There is also access to the sea if you are a confident swimmer and the sea and wind are not too rough. Something of a sun trap there are sunbathing areas set out at the edge but no shade. A safety ring is provided for emergency but no supervision. Seems to be used by locals as well...

This was a superb little location, with a natural sea filled pool where the water is changed by each high tide. Be aware that at low tide the pool is virtually empty but becomes a lovely place to feed the fish with bread. BEAUTIFUL man made “natural” pools cut into the rocks and fed by seawater. There are railings to help you in and out. There are also at least four pools on the seafront with varying degrees of sunbathing space.
