Still no working public toilets, no maps, basketball court, ropes playground, running trail fitness equipment all still forgotten about for repairs, Nature trail above basketball court full of garbage and homeless encampments. Sadly it is a super great park (grass, climbing wall, kids play areas, fitness trails, space to bicycle etc.) until your kids need to go to the bathroom!!!! Especially on Sundays. The temporary (as if they will ever stop) parking lot abomination is still disgusting and growing, full of drivers who sped through the neighborhood to get to it and honked at pedestrians walking on the sidewalks slowing them down. Build a shitty temporary parking lot and they never thought to put in toilets temporary or otherwise. No giant wonder why there is not a free public, clean, staffed washroom, run by the city - like the world class facilities on playa las canteras - the priority here seems private car traffic people spending money in the private facilities taking over the park. Nothing for handicapped accessible toilets on Sundays or days the private gym / cafeteria is closed either. There are x2 options to poo / pee legally. x1 is the only cafeteria in the private gym complex and it requires a purchase (paywall) and only if it is open. The second, are the x2 €0.30 per use / 20min time limit automated toilets with x1 at the entrance to the park that also claims to be wheelchair accessible or x1 near the kids park that does not claim to be wheelchair access. They require you to have coins. They both appear broken and not functioning at tjme of this update. Both are graffitied and appear like scary, dirty, tiny unisex standalone broken toilets - glorified porta potties that don't even function - they are probably better pissed on then in. Tried to access the pay toilets however the machines to open them were broken on both toilets at the front gate and kids park (11 Jan 2021). Also, the elevator in the park up / down the cliff side was broken today as well and is rarely if ever cleaned when functioning. Perhaps the destruction of property by graffiti etc could be mitigated by providing the human comforts of free, safe, clean facilities for the thousands of park goers to use each day? Don't worry people with money will still pay to go to gym classes and eat at cafes (see las canteras for this proof) and you increase human health and job...
Read moreThe best park to go if you lived by the zone, or located near to it and wanted to retreat from city's noise. It's sport installations are in good shape, but it's better to check them out since there are a lot of people who go and use them.
There is a zone within the park that was dedicated only for dogs, where you can leave your pet to play and run without restrictions.
And since the installation of the elevator building at it's end, the park serves as a short route to get to the higher part of the city, unless it's out of order (which doesn't...
Read moreI thought the park itself was pretty unremarkable. Nice to find some green space and a little shade on a hot day, but very utilitarian and basic as a park goes. The highlight for me by far was taking the elevator to the top of the cliff, overlooking the park. There was a SuperDino right there, and I got a wonderful lemon shandy and wandered the lovely quiet streets at the top. Stunning views of the ocean and cruise terminals and absolutely no other...
