This place is obscene. If you would like to go to somewhere fun, safe and cheap, skip here. First of all the prices were extortionate, if you are going here be prepared to pay for literally everything: the sunbeds for example were 5 euros, each, which in a reasonable place would be free. The lockers were 11 euros (you got 5 euros back when you returned the key). Also the food, was very very poor quality and far too overpriced for example a small plastic fruit cup costed 5 euros. We purchased a portion of bacon and cheese chips. Although they tasted okay, the price and the portion size were inappropriately matched. 10 euros for a small amount of chips was insulting since we payed such a great amount to enter. 201 euros we payed as a family of four for the transfer and the tickets.
Secondly the rides were very unsafe and I'd go as far to say that some of them should be shut down or reassessed. One of these rides is definitely the Rapids. It is a 3 part ride where you have the fuss of climbing in and out of the float. Me and my father went down in a double float after having the ride recommended from my cousin who had been down on his own, and within 5 seconds of the first slide the float had flipped over leaving me with a large bump to the head and my shoulder and my dad with sore ribs. We were forced to continue down the rest of the ride however we couldn't both get back into the float so I had to go down on a double float with my dad holding on the back. This ride was very unsafe as we weren't the only duo that fell out of the float. My cousin then decided to go down one of the rides where you lie down on a mat head first. When he reached the bottom the oddly placed handle smashed against his lip slicing the inside of it against his teeth. This looked extremely painful and ruined the trip for him.
After these incidents we decided to go down the lazy river which was very slow, as we went to get the floats and bring them to the water the staff member told us, in very poor English that those rings were only for fast pass members which meant we had to wait until someone came round on a float. My cousin was tired of waiting in long queues so he just decided to walk round the lazy river. The Majority of the staff had very poor English and were quite rude in general.
The only reason I haven't given this 0 stars is because the wave pool which happened every hour and a bit was funny. We spent the 5 minutes laughing at how bad it was whilst being slightly lifted up by the weak waves. The toilet facilities were also very poor, the 4 toilets had doors that you could see through and they were also dirty and small.
This was a waste of a day in what has been a fabulous holiday for the rest of the time. Very disappointed and won't be returning. Majorcas biggest waterpark more like Majorcas biggest scam. Do not...
Read moreIn few words- huge disappointment. We are residents of Mallorca for almost 20 years and we use to go to most of the island attractions at least one time a year. Marineland, Western Park are among them. In fact, we never went to Aqualand, just because we have Western Park within few min drive. Sunday, June 19th 2022- Western is not open for public because of private event, so we decided to give Aqualand a shot. We did not buy entrees in advance and we expected huge queue at the entrance for several reasons- Western Park is closed, it’s sunday, its mid of June and the island is full of tourists. In fact, there was no queue at all when we arrived there. However, we were charged 6 EUR for parking, which was first unpleasant surprise. So you know, Aqualand is located in a middle of nowhere, not close to the sea, outside of town. Of course, the right solution would be to park across the street or somewhere nearby, but having a small baby and +36 degrees outside, we decided not to complicate things and pay 6 EUR. Of course, no refund for the parking with a ticket purchase. By the way, if you go to Marineland, which is located near the sea in premium location, there is a free parking just outside the Marineland. The 1-day entry is 32 EUR for 1 adult, no discount for residents of the island. Aqualand has way less to offer comparing with Western. No wonder it had very few people inside. I believe, those who bought FAST LINE tickets, claimed the money back, since there was no waiting. Sun-beds- 5 EUR per bed! Why? Isn’t 32 EUR not enough to get a free bed? Hundreds of sun-beds stay empty and most of people lay on the grass, using the towels! The water in some pools were not clean and full of pines. Nobody cares. Out of 6 food places, only two were working- snacks and pizzeria. We had a little hunger, so I went to see what they offer. Kebab durum menu for 15.60 eur (I did not see any kebab there- its likely comes precooked and frozen)same for hamburger, 9.60 for a portion of french fries with bacon. No more hanger. One energy drink, please. 5 EUR check. Lovely. Local people bring there own food and make picnics there… Ridiculous. We left the place in two hours. 80 euros to the garbage. At least, we had a very nice lunch in Moli Can Pere restaurant which is in 2 minutes drive from Aqualand. Lovely lamb chops with potatoes for 15 EUR there. Fresh and tasty. Aqualand-never again. We just...
Read moreAbsolute scam of a waterpark.
The queues for each ride (which are in very poor shape) are absolutely massive and if you're lucky you'll be able to ride about once every 40 mins... if you can tolerate the sun. Aqualand has also implemented surge pricing, so if there is high demand, prices skyrocket.
The only option to get around on different rides a bit faster is to buy a Fast Pass (not exactly what you think) or a Fast Pass Premium (yup, they had to scam a bit more).
The Fast Pass allows you to skip a queue ONCE, per ride. While your typical adult ticket costs you about €37, the Fast Pass costs an additional €25 (or more, as its surge pricing), so for the privilege of skipping the queue once on each ride, you pay €62 for "price of admission" (that's a day ticket at Disney). But then, they have the Premium version of Fast Pass. This costs €70 (yup!), making a single adult ticket about €107 (far more than a ticket for Disneyland Paris). This Premium gives you unlimited queue skips on every ride. This quite literally means that while you're waiting in a queue you'll see the same family/group of people run past you multiple times until they get tired of that particular ride.
The staff is also completely clueless. If you are on a multi-slide ride (e.g. 3 water slides side-by-side on the same ride), they will hold up the queue to allow a single rider to go alone (because there is a group of three behind them), instead of expediting 2 other solos. This leads to slowing down queues even more.
Food & Drinks: Everything in the park is as expensive as a nice dinner out, but with all the grace of a cheap fast food place (and worse queues). You can buy things in advance, or make them a package deal, but it just adds up. Pre-buy a burger-and-fries-type meal at a discounted rate? "Just" €16.85. Then wait in another massive queue for the fast food to be made at slow food speeds.
Everything keeps on adding up. It has the price structure of Disneyland Paris, but the rusty, shoddy, poorly-maintained, and dated design of a 1980s waterpark.
TL;DR I've been to far better waterparks, with far better rides, for far less money, and without the truly massive queues. Aqualand has a pay-to-play system where you can buy your way around. Don't go there unless you have money burning a hole in...
