This was a 3 star experience. More due to the fact I was surprised there would even be a Greek Orthodox Church in Madrid. I've never heard Agni Parthene butchered as well as it was here which is sad since this is supposedly a Greek Orthodox church. I felt like this was more like a Russian church with all the vestaments of a Greek one since the liturgy was super confusingly done in like 90% Russian and Slavic instead of Greek or even Spanish. My call to the priest was abrupt which being a cradle Orthodox from CA maybe I'm spoiled to have the luxury of empathetic/compassionate priests and laity. There also were no ushers so it was super confusing and disheartening to not be able to receive communion as a result of this lack of direction along with the priest here doing it probably like the Russian church would? Normally they do it behind the sanctuary in preparation of the eucharistic offering. The interior was basic, pews extremely tiny and wooden minus a bench to pray from prior to dispensation of communion . I don't know if they even do a coffee hour after because it didn't look like it. I mean this is the only Greek Orthodox Church I could find here which is way far from the area I'm in but again it's the only location I know of so far.

The treatment from the priest very rude, on internet timetable says ts opens at 8:30 and I went at 10:30, metalic door was open to the touch and the light outside the church as well as the wooden door of the church was open. As soon as I entered I got asked what am I doing here, I answered I came to pray and light the candle. The man who was not dresses as a priest ( later I searched on Internet and found he is the priest of this church) told me to accompany him outside and in once again rude manner told me if the door is like this it's closed and if its liked this it's opened like if I was a little child. I was not going to argue in the house of the god and I said I.m sorry for bothering I will leave and come another time, that's when he asked me where I was from and made a very rude remark about my origin like we were very difficult to understand things. Once again I said I will go and come back another time and he told me it's a sin once you come you don't pray. I am confused, all I wanted was few minutes to pray in silence, without bothering but instead I felt uncomfortable like I had comiitted a crime to go. There is not timetable anywhere to know when it is open or closed and people like me who want to visit for a religious visit are not welcome as it...
